  12. hey up! my car has been standing for about a week, everything fine when i parked it. but now the pedal goes straight to the floor. it felt like it was pumping up briefly, but then nothing. there was very little fluid in it (not empty) and i know it was full before i parked up. but ive topped the fluid up and pumped like buggery, to no avail :-( is there a sytematic diagnosis procedure for tracking down the fail point? i know my first task is to see where my fluid went. any advice? many thanks

  18. lol, knew someone would suggest a relay, for some reason the mecghanic wants to avoid using one?????? cheers
  19. HA! ejector seat is the one! lol. in all honesty its to go on the front of a forage harvester to switch off the flow of hydraulic fluid (by means of the solenoid, which we have already) when a roller (with a small magnet on it) reaches the top of its travel. it normally uses a push switch similar to a brake pedal switch, but this keeps failing. so we want to try a non contact method. and also the mechanic wants to avoid using a relay (as we have all suggested) any ideas? cheers
  20. hey up everyone, im after a magnetic proximity switch to work on a 12v circit, which can carry enough amperage to operate a simple on/off solenoid. does anyone know of anything like this? as all the proximity switches / hall effect sensors i have seen can only handle a very small current. please could someone who knows about this kind of thing put me straight here as its becomming a bit of a debate here lol. cheers guys!!!!! :tank:

  24. hey guys, does anyone know of a cordless landline phone with a keypad lock? i cant seem to find one. my mum lives in a shared house and just had a ruck on the phone bill by one of the lodgers :-( so she wants to put a pin on her phone. any suggestions? cheers
  25. Jeff, i think its a good idea to air this sort of thing, as if neither party is trying to hide anytihng then there should be no issues with it being made public. the only other thing i will say is that you have always been straight up and very helpful with me. you work in a niche market and i cant see you wanting to give your self a bad rep by messing people around. i hope this all works out for ya jeff and team. Keep up the good work!
