seems to have sorted itself (ish)

i get sounds and audio devices

i dont get hardware and sound

i did hoover my laptop earlier

all seems fine, just seems quiet

not the headphones, ive got the ipod earphoines in and the are quiet, its still loud, but not as loud

think it may be my headphones, although they were ok 20 mins ago

yup its in the right hole, not be the first time ive asked a bird that lol ive got a packard bell easy note

i remember clicking somewhere and it had laptop sound low med=ium high,cant find it now

they are usually quite loud, have the sound turned right up, volume on headphones turned up and on you tube, is there any other way of getting them louder???
