i supose if the fronts have been upgraded then they will be breaking harder than the rears and that will probably throw the breaking balance ( feel ) of the car out ..maybe im talking arse i dont know, :confused: :confused: so it would make sense to upgrade the rear calipers to catch up effectively with the fronts wouldnt it ?? im sure that a decent engineering firm could knock up some mounting brackets or mod some spare origional front caliper brackets

i had powerflow and it was mandrel bent seamless stainless i watched them make it .. same upswept boxer back boxes ..i had a centre box put in for two reasons....plod kept pulling me for exsesive noise .........and theres thousands of burglars out there but they mightfight back so us motorists are easy prey to the cowardly tax collector dressed in blue .............and the second reason was to give the tub seals some back pressure ....boxer tips have gone now as some chav tw*t put them on his nova ...had to change mine at the that time

jwt tubs BB530'swith 555s and stock internals chipped and decat and exhaust mods will see you up to and possibly beyond the 450bhp at the wheels on a good engine not at the fly have a chat to some of the traders , Chris ( if you can get hold of him ) smithy, greg or baggins ....get some sound info first before shelling out ..i was going to go the 530BB route but have changed my mind for something with a bit better spool up and less hastle to fit ( exhaust wise ) and still give e 450rwhp..which in the real world , lets face facts is more than enough for road use ..

i think the old gxr 600 carried that colour scheme ....speed 0-60 3 secs top end about 160 - there or there abouts ( on a long road with a tail wind )

i think you need to take into account the amount of air flow ( volume ) that can be pushed through them and not be restrictive , the S14 coolers may be able to handle 16psi but are set and designed for for a 2 litre lump the zed is 33% bigger than that and therefore will need more air flow,

the stock gauge is way off usually and should only be a guide , fit an after market boost gauge and check the actual boost and see if you can get a boost leak done. try a search on boost leak checks , if not it could be a number of things , hope its not internals good luck Steve

the car drives fine , but sometimes when starting her up it doesnt spin over it just seems to cough one long wheezy cough , other times its like the starter motor hasnt engaged properly and there is a horrible metalic non meshing of gears noise..then it starts up no problems ..any ideas fellas , anybody had silmilar is the starter motor on the way out ??? is it something more sinister. cheers steve :( :confused:

i would guess you are looking at around 245 rwhp about 325 / 335 at the flywheel ..just a guess . let us know what the figures are when you get it dynoed :)

there was a company doing it not so long ago called safe plate try , them on their web site http://www.safeplate.co.uk i have it on my zed its not noticeable i have been followed by the rozzers right behind me even at night , but when i have triggered a flash i have never had a fine however these 'specs' cameras are a different thing all together 'satelite positioning exact calculated speed' i think its an anacronym for maybe our more learned members would beg to differ ... good luck but remember ....tony blahs big brother is watching

hi guys , i am swapping out my J spec clocks to Uk spec .....is it a direct replacement as on the threads i have searched it says it is, but im not sure if the UK clocks will de limit the car ?? do i have to do any resister changes while im in there ??? cheers fellas Steve :confused:

battery failure can do some wierd stuff to the running of the car ...my son has a VW polo reliable little thing it is buthad the same and i mean the same symptoms as you !! changed battery as a result of going on the VW polo owners club forum ( he is a paid up member ) and hey presto car rund like new

when you checked the ecu connector its possible you have re connected correctly without knowing ....if its not broken dont try and fix it leave it now ..they are tempremental at the best of times mate :)) steve

maybe indianazx needs to contact a solicitor with this thread and then Nissan as surely its a design flaw and bloody dangerous

a car is car ....albeit a zed ...you are your mothers son and in her eyes priceless you can always buy another zed whenever you can ..look back on this and thank your lucky stars you walked away ...keep on the forum though buddy steve
