  5. to be honest the only way to tell is have it examined by an independant specialist .. did you buy it as crash damaged ? ....as far as i am aware the front cross brace is not a structural part of the chassis for "straightness" but is intended for "stiffness" purposes Steve
  6. i think matty has posted up pics and a vid of the ones he did for his skyline on here search under "led lights " you will see the standard they are done to i am sat talking to matt now and im going to donate a set of un used rears ( tinted ) to be pulled apart to see what si possible , we both wont be home until mid july so will post up later then if we get any joy
  7. just gauging interest .....how many would be interested in LED conversions to their rear lights ....??? i could possibly get this sorted if anyone is interested dont know exact costs yet but there will be approx 700 leds used in the mod and it will involve sending your rear lights , they will be modified and sent back plug and play .........no details other than that ...just gauging interest before i say something to Matty cost about 200 quid to convert roughly maybe more maybe less slightly .. Steve
  8. a mate of mine wants to convert some spare rears i have to LED there will be over 700 leds when finished and with parts it will have cost me around 200 pounds ( given the lights i had anyway so are free ) it should look stunning and is at least a grand cheaper than clear quarters charge .......he has done some skyliner conversions allready i will try and post some pics .........anybody be interested in group buy :)

  12. my lad recently bought an audi coupe ( 80 coupe ) it is immaculate and low millage 56000 miles with full service and MOT's to prove millage however last night he was driving home and the cam belt tensioner sheared off .......( belts were changed , tensioner not ) ....so now he has probable valve damage etc ....anybody had any experience of these heads and know if its worth replacing the cams , valves , springs etc with upgraded items or stick with VAG parts ...sometimes performance parts ( piper cams etc ) are cheaper than OE .......any advice ,links or pointers gratefully accepted Steve
  13. i work for BG in kazkahstan and im disgusted that has happened ........i know first hand what BG hate and its bad press ...nothing else matters them .....if the directors are named in the " i bet Frank Chapman would not have had this done to him " kind of way when relating your story to national tabloids ..it wont belong before someone from BG will be phoning you up to appologise and offer compensation simple ..to sort it out in your favour .........go to the tabloid press national sun star mirror etc .......it might only make page 7 but these companies have PR people scouring the press for bad publicity sorry it happened mate next time dont leave the dogs in the porch let them have the tw*ts

  17. the key words here are neither to be used nor kept on a public road they have to prove that it is kept on a public road Not parked temporarily .....you may have just moved it there temp this morning to do some repairs to it that could not be done where it was initially ..they will have to prove it has been Kept on the road ,,seek guidance from a solicitor what the legal meaning of Kept on a highway means .......in the meantime find where the copper lives go round to his house and kick him hard in the nuts if he has any that is .....wont do any good and will probably get you shed loads of bother .but it wont half make you feel better :))

  20. if you lift the bonnet and take the weather seal from the rear lip of the engine bay where it meets the windscreen scuttle it does help a lot with cooling by generating air flow ..HOWEVER it is a weather seal and if you remove it you run the risk of the weather getting in when the car is stationary ....HTH steve
