in the 80's british leyland did a lovely colour called Reynard a burnt orange / bronze colour http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=61159&stc=1&d=1314325946[img/] i had my Mk3 cortina 2000GXL painted this colour with a black vinyl roof and ford roman bronze pinstripes

such a pretty car the calibra ......always thought it was a pity they didnt change the interior from the cavalier, bit different to drive though the rear wheel drive 300zx.....welcome to the club mate

for a respray with you doing most of the work should set you back no more than 750 to a grand tops .....have you thought of a slight change to obsidian black ..a Merc / BMW colour hints of purple and silver greys in sunlight....looks stunning on my mates M5 no need to paint the door shuts or under bonnet that way and gives it a fresh modern look and wont cost any more ...

wonder if a i can fit a 50mm gun mount to my targa bar......that would make road rage interesting.....lol

sounds like the throttle boddies butterflies are either misaligned or have come loose and are not at the position they need to be on tickover..have you checked that they move in unison and theer is no slack or play until they open ?

if your replacing the tubs its money well spent getting new if you can afford it ..if not then cut back on something else till you can....its one of those jobs you only want to do once ..

also setting up the clearence shims on the gears can be a real PITA ...one job probably best left to the professionals me thinks

its only that low because of all the heavy bling under the bonnet....chrome everything and what you dont chrome polish till it loks like chrome and you dont ned to buy the susspension bits.......aint that right Andy :) :)

got it out this morning ..before the safety man arrived at site i came in early at 6:30 ..put some piroshki ( its like a flat greasy meat pasty ) on the end of the plank i had put in, somemore in the middle and somemore scattered inside the ditch....stood well back and watched ..only a few minutes and a little black nose twiched out the pipe ....must hav ebeen starving cos it went straight for the food and wolfed it down.....i dont think it even knew it was n a narrow plank 6 feet over the ditch ...it just came to the top eat what was there and casualy just stepped off onto the grass and walked off ...didnt even look back the ungratefull little sh*t :) glad its sorted though

that sounds like a plan it was still there when we left work so if its tsill in the same spot in the morning thats what ill do ..need to make sure it cant get back in the pipe ..we have some plastic double ply sheet used for conservatory roofs that we can lower in frontof both pipes at once and hopefully catch it in a sack as it bolts out ...air horn we have in the cars for winter use incase we are trapped in a blizzard and need to raise an alarm....i will let you know how we get on ..with a bit of luck it might have used the plank when we get back anyway .....fingers crossed...just hate to see animals suffer like that ,..

ill give it a whirl mate ...might need more than me though its a fast little bugger :)
