errmmm.... Probably a chip would sort it. At the mo your taking in and pushing out more air/fuel than the std chip can cope with. You could also try dissconnecting your battery for at least 2hours for the ecu to reset itself as its probably still running its programme for the 95ron fuel and the extra oomph in the optimax might be upsetting it.....although its a self learning system and should learn the new properties but give it a try anyway...sounds like you got nowt to loose. I wouldnt expect it to be too good on boost untill you have chipped it.... You can try a safe chip like a "JWT" or if you want a more aggresive chip then prehaps a "Mines" which i think makes it run leaner at stages so its cruicial you have O2 sensors in good working order. As for causing any harm on 95ron...I dont think so(only if its detting)....i think others have run on this but dont expect any power from it. Bottom line...Get a chippy :duffer: and go from there

I have searched the threads and they all seem to have the problem on a cold start... But..... The last couple of days ive noticed that in the hotter weather I have an awfull petrol smell. Is made worse by running my aircon and reving(using throttle) Its makin me head ring :headvswal and feels like im swimming in amel nitrate :mad: It has never reared its head before but today was unbearable. I have checked and tightned the fuel lines (including under the throttle cover) and they all seem fine. I have reved it and have found no leaks. I know most will say a fuel kit from Smithy...may have to do this but....my lines look very good condition and have heard of peeps with these kits and still get a petrol smell...so i wanna make sure its the lines before splashing out and finding its something completely different :mad: Answers on a postcard :smash: Thanks in advance

##EDIT##....u beat me to it vinz :slap: :tongue: The Expansion tanks is where you described. Probably just let a load go just for the fun of it... Ive been told the Zed will do this every now and then for no reason but I im not so sure. No smoke without fire n all that. As for your gauge going up and down its your temp sensor(the small sensor fitted in the front water pipe...next to the larger sensor for the ECU. A loose connection causes this...clamp up the spade connector a bit n pop it back on...that should sort the reading out. As for why it blew... I havnt a foggiest idea mate. Im havin major water probs myself at the mo. Replaced water pipe few months back after loosing some water gradually. Then it moved on to another pipe. Now i think the water pumps fooked and the pipe near the tubs buggered as theres a large pasty white mark on it. Oh well....Im off to Ztech for repairs..lol

So no ones got these then......Are they cack? Just wondered why ive not heard them mentioned on this forum before? :smash:

Woohooo......my wifey pased her driving test today :hyper: Needless to say very chuffed for her :bow: Im postin this as I know she often visits the Z forum during the day to keep her amused whilst im at work .....even have to fight her for the laptop some evenings. Problem is... Will she now develop the same bug that ive got with Zeds and start beating me for the bLiNg :eek: Will she be content with her clio shes got or Will she wanna say"Im just gonna nip out in your car steve" Will i loose the option of being able to borrow her car when mine goes wrong?
