A remap or chip on it's own will not give you anymore performance. However as Legrath said it will allow you to run higher boost levels with a boost controller.
  4. You could have two apexi's like mine...double the noise!
  5. Cheers James. Gibster you have PM ;)
  6. Had Zeds for 6 and a half years and have never been caught speeding
  7. You will have cooked the engine at that temp. Did you lose much water? Could be head gasket.
  8.:bow::bow: Couldn't agree more, they've totally missed the point. The best thing about that was the white ibanez iceman guitar.
  9. My experience of Zedworld is that they know what they're on about and take pride in the work they undertake, I was very pleased with them.
  10. Going for the cheaper option on these motors will more often than not end up with much more expense.
  11. Decatting my car the first time round with the original turbos.
  12. What he said ^^^^^^^^ Get it rebuilt by someone like Jimmer who knows what they're doing. Some of these engines are 18 years old now and putting a replacement in can be false economy as you could have the same thing happen a few months down the line.
  13. You could say that about a lot of newish performance cars these days. I don't see that many of them, Boxters maybe, where do you live Chelsea? lol. As for being expensive on parts and labour I've owned 300's for the last 6 and a half years, now they are a money pit. I don't expect a 25-30grand 6 year old 911 to have much going wrong with it to be honest. Macca I've driven a 2001 C2 rear wheel drive carrera and loved it. Only 320bhp but it ticked all the boxes for me and a little drop in performance doesn't bother me. I'm hoping the 4 wheel drive version will be better again but won't know till the new year when I start looking.
  14. I hope all you peeps are using super unleaded in your imported 300's.
  15. lol 911 Porker mate, no older than about 6-7 years 2001-2002. Want something reliable and newer that I can use everyday and these tick all the boxes for me.
  16. I was gonna get the 4.5 Cerby as my next car but after much deliberation I have decided against it. The bhp figures TVR claim are completely untrue, as most 4.5's should be 420bhp (not 450) in reality most are around 380bhp when rolling roaded, even still they are 500kg lighter than a 300ZX so do have some awesome n/a power. Unfortunately due to them being as almost as unreliable as the Zed and devaluing like no ones business I think I will be in the same boat as I've been with all my 300's if I owned one. I'd have a car that constantly needs endless amounts of money spending on it and something I'd never use. German for me next, once my Zed is sold ;)

  20. Trouble free motoring and 300ZX do not sit together well :D
  21. Fiesta 1.1 (D reg) 1986. It was 4 years old at the time think I paid £2750 which was a lot of money for a 18 year old in 1990!!!
  22. Good Luck Anthony, looking forward to seeing this finished
  23. I hardly come on here these days so have only just read this thread. Neil I felt sick for you when I read your first message but I am so pleased to hear from you update that Abigail is on the mend and getting back to her old self. Best wishes GLENN
  24. I've had a full Longlife Stainless on mine for the last 4 years with custom decat pipes made by Pro Speed in Cardiff, does sound rather good.
