My rule of eBay car selling is that the winning bidder pays a non-refundable £100 deposit within 12 hours of the end of auction. It doesn't stop some people messing you about but it puts some people off. Sold my MR2 on eBay earlier in the year, thought the bloke was gonna be a no show as he was from London and I'm in Teesside but he did show. Report the buyers to eBay and take it from there

Lol at Stevie thinking you were near Zedworld - I had a brain freeze when I read his message as I was certain it was in the Midlands lol!!!

You might be pleasantly surprised - I am old, female, full NCB and even I was getting stupid quotes for the Zed - eventually found one company who got me a sub £500 quote, went with them, then Lynbrook quoted me sub £300 so I cancelled the above policy and went with Lynbrook. Even with a £50 cancellation fee I was quids in! Just be prepared to wait a little while with Lynbrook - not the fastest to quote and only open office hours so if you can call during the day, they might get on it a bit faster (or they might be closed when you finish work!!)

Oh my goodness! That's awful! Are you ok? Really shocked at the attitude of the police, glad you are taking legal advice. Hope the people who helped at the scene gave you their details too! J
