  1. hissing coolant at the back of the engine could be the heater matrix pipes. check coolant level, if its contaminated. check your oil filler cap for mayo, and take the engine bay skin of as guessing where the hissing is coming from isnt as good as knowing. If you still have it check your coolant overflow tank which is behind the nearside indicator in the bumper. if you have any coolant in there it could point to over pressure in the system. Hope its simple buddy! The smoke may have just been the steam from your engine, when its cold maybe start it again if there is no obvious leaks...or even better. call Lee as he knows them very well!
  2. i thought about that, but after bashing it into place with welding and filling the reduction in weight was not worth it for me. it practically weighs nothing However cutting it out to put other stuff more useful there is something i have thought about ;)

you off to japfest this year Noel?
  12. ey up you gay thing, that looks awesome! i still need to see it :/
  13. I'd personally stick with stock as it dictates your minimum operating temperature where it will cool it if it gets any hotter than it's opening temperature. Considering it was fitted with the higher temp stat as Nissan intended and a huge percentage of engine wear is when the engine is not at it's operating temperature. The thermostat doesn't actually aid cooling. It just dictates when your cooling system is active. So if you have a poor cooling system, your going to overheat anyway.
  14. i have one like this, slightly rusty but i probably wont be using it again. in case anyone else happens to need one.

  16. yep they are..i wanted to replace mine but i powder coated them with all my sub frame stuff instead as mine had no play and didnt grind. so you can powder coat them with them fitted, just in case this is the reason you want to remove them.
  17. Nope, they are dumb as far as i know. however you do get ECUs which have been chipped to allow scope of increasing the turbo pressure.
  18. Lol I was standing behind the photographer annoying him at this point.. Keeping them like that or not they are a million times better than what came off as they looked like they had visited the sea bed!
