And a very light car!!! And be very brave!!! Going back a few years...when we went to Bruntingthorpe with J tuner mag. You did 158mph My old NA did 136.9mph

There are no tracks in the UK where you will be able to exceed the max rev/speed of an NA diff. Likewise on the 1/4 mile. Our fastest 300ZX running mid 11s only does 130mph.

Tub looks naff Fit polycarb rear and strip out all the internal metal on tailgate like I did on Bobs car. Its as light as my CF one virtually.

Lukes Viper wings are a poor fit as received so need work to fit. IMO they look a bit chavvy. Tailgate tubs are a similar story IMO

Thats really good Bob. It means that the wiring removal and a few other bits like the washer bottle change and catchtank change in this winters rebuild program have really helped.:thumbup:

how much have you spent on you z on mods and just keeping it running
I have spent way too much on a write off NA... I dont want to think too much about it but I might do a list later. Some of the bits I have have been on all three slicktops I have owned so as historical costs they arnt too bad. Typical is my carbon fibre prop. It was about £900 I think but that was maybe 8 years ago. Then again I have had some bargains. Got a new TT fidanza flywheel on Ebay for £100... in my home town. Then I bought a clutch for it at £400. I think I might stop now ........i feel ill:scared:

no mate. We were putting back on the trailer before I had a chance.:innocent: I can confirm tho that it does look great. :thumbup1: Its not radically different to previous versions but its just sharper all round.:thumbup: Dan and his guys at AME have done some very nice work on the installation of everything.:yes: With a little more "shakedown" and seat time by Bob this will be a very fast car, round any track and up the 1/4 mile too. So the so called premium shifter is in the same category as my sh***y throttle bodies from the same source:thumbdown:

Diff issues
Oh you are way ahead!!:yes: I only know a little about the clutch pack plates as in old school salisbury diffs and similarly in the Kaz ones where you can add plates or reverse them to increase or decrease the torque figure that they "break" or "slip" at. The Quaife and Torsen ones make my (small) brain hurt.:biggrin:

Diff issues
Thats a really good common man's description Tom.:thumbup1: There are a number of people on here who should read that carefully and then they will understand how their car drives .:yes: They will also realise why changing the oil in a viscous diff does NOT alter its slip load at all cos the part you described is sealed and tucked away inside the crown wheel. I already knew what you have said about how it works and I know how a plate diff works too BUT I await your description if you do one.

You have to drill the hole the correct size for the helicoil to work properly. Helicoil kits come the the right size drill and insertion tool in them.

But that involves cutting and welding and you still have the problem of the glass being different. its just easier to go with Lexx's answer ... they dont fit

ouch.. no wonder you felt ill. Im pretty sure you will be on antibiotics and anti coagulants in the drip and probably something to control that heart rate!!! Resting will allow the drugs to get to work and your body will then be able to fight back . Once that fluid has decreased Im sure you will feel better. Im sorry to read you are ill and in hospital but such a swift diagnosis is reassuring and will allow the correct treatment to begin. This in turn will help promote a speedy and full recovery All the best. Pete

i used to go with Z club back in the day.... Its one of the best traditional classic shows in the UK IMO. In fact I went to lots... trentham. Weston Park. The one in/near West Brom??? etc etc. They dont hold much interest now for me hence I dont go.
