I know things have been a bit heated on the forum recently but meets like this and the Welsh meet today just serve to illustrate that IMHO there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the 300 club. Same applies on Z Club. net too. we have a few squabbles but it all passes. The reason the 260Z turned up was that he saw a reference to the meet that I posted on ZClub forum and he lives locally. It seems to me that with a few more "dual members" now that 2006 could be a year of good co-operation between the clubs. The basics are already there at Japfest, JAE etc and at da Pod. I dont see any reason why local meets cant be shared too.

Yep! All was peace and tranquility at the Midlands Meet at the Stenson Bubble just outside Derby. :bow: The only troulble was several people coulnt find the place! LOL :rofl: Beautiful sunny clear day and lots of other Jap owners too. Even a 260Z owner from Z club.net! Soon to be seen in 300TT also! Bling was King today with BG VINZ, Karl300ZX and TIZER all with cars on display Debut outing for Peach's newly acquired Metallic Green SWB NA Slicktop also. Some were Zedless now that winter is here but none the less a good day out and lots of tasty and reasonably priced food on offer No politics, no backstabbing, no name calling. ;) Just a nice day out. :bow: As always it was good to have a drive out for a noggin and a natter. :hyper: Hopefully someone took a few piccies???

Well the answer is to give an all in quote to a private customer!!! ;) Remember that is what all retail prices are anyway( for example in my shop on the high street). Yep, Ive just had a phone call earlier from one very upset n worried student daughter. It happened at the other end of the back lane to her student house. She cant get back to the house so she has gone off to another friends house for the night where there are a few good mates to keep her company.

Pretty much. I like a bit of banter but it seems lately to be at the expense of more interesting stuff. Maybe we could look at a different type of lay out. try and keep the banter and Z discussion separate. So if you want to mess around one night doin polls and colour stuff then you can find a section full of it . But if you just want to share a bit of Z talk or club info or find a few forum mates to discuss a problem(non Z type) then you can do that . Maybe we can feature the subscribed discussion area more?? I dunno. I havent got all the answers. And We have our fair share of Unrest/dissatisfaction on Z Club.net too.(im a long term subscribed Z club man) So do we have a real problem? or is it just a passing phase? One thing I do know is that sensible and polite discussion will show us the way forward.

Well the customer waiting area is deffo basic, but I received good friendly service as did the two other customers who had cars on the ramps at the same time. Each of us was consulted on style , noise etc, and taken through to view work in progress. Well I too waited hours. But that was what I expected as the head fitter explained to me on my arrival. Making up a complete Zed exhaust from scratch was never going to be a one hour "quick fit" job. My opinion of the quality is that it is good value for money. Its not the best, but its not top money. For me the most important thing is that the whole job of custom decats and custom exhaust( I went twice for the 2 jobs) made a dramatic improvement to the performance, and I have times before and after at Santa Pod to back this up. Total cost was just under £600 fitted. I was quoted £900 for the identical job at Hayward and Scott in Essex.
