  1. ANOTHER GOLF!  Worrying... very worrying trend! :D :D
  2. Yeh, I know.... I just dont mention it that often. Now where the f****** is that spare clip of ammo??? :mac1:
  3. Brian Long's book has no details of model differences, but states that eng/transmission were unchanged. Thats all I know. Remember these cars were not sold new here, so there is no English literature from Nissan on them. 94 onwards cars are much less common here at present , so there is no great pool of knowledge in the club about these subtle differences. Im sure all the info is on Jap 300ZX sites but I have no personal knowledge of where or how to access it. Sorry I cant do better! :(
  4. The whole decision making process IS democratic..... and it works like this.... We, the subscribed members vote to elect committee members. The committee then make Exectutive decisions for the benefit of the club, as they are required to do. Not all members will agree will all the decisions made my the committee, thats just not possible. If however a majority of members disagree with the committee then the way forward is to VOTE for new committee members. That is how nearly ALL car clubs are run. Its not that difficult a concept to understand surely?? Now here is my" personal opinion" bit. I think the present committee works well as a whole and has responded correctly to some recent problems on this forum. IMO. And LASTLY... Why are we discussing club business etc on OPEN to the WORLD access section of the Forum. SURLEY the MEMBER ONLY area would be a better place for this. Guests and registered users have no vote in these matters, so why do it all here????
  5. J Reg SWB NA Targa Auto with 6 months MOT and only a few minor faults has just sold on Ebay (item no 4594393774) for £1500!! Woz tempted, but Im running out of parking spaces! :x: Soon 300s will be on a BOGOF (buy one get one free) deal at your local car dealer
  6. Yeh we're not a bad bunch really. :D Now you are subscribed tho we can call you all we want, cos we've got the money now!!     Wecome to the madhouse
  7. LOL 3 replies! At least we all agree!!!
  8. First get that battery "drop tested". Next suspect if thats OK is the starter motor(stuck/faulty solenoid?)
  9. LOL They dont make 2 metre long jiffy bags ;) :x:
  10. LOL Sudesh! Thats a very kind offer mate. But I was messing about. I do however fancy the whole car! So if You have a Jiffy bag big enough then let me know! :D :D :D
  11. Nah! He wouldnt put it in a Jiffy bag for posting!!! :headvswal
  12. "Cough"... ahem.. The version S was introduced in October 1994. The version S Recaro was the one with the Recaros (clearly). The Version R 2+2 was introduced on Jan 16th 1997.(in midnight Purple...new colour). Taken from Brian Longs Datsun 280/Nissan 300 book. Table in rear shows the different Vin numbers for all models. This is the only real way to identify a version S.along with its date on manufacture/reg in Japan. HTH
  13. Matts car is one of the best examples around. It is a later 93 car with a known history. Of all the cars I know this one is probably the LEAST likely to go wrong. And Matt is a straight talking honest guy. He wont mislead you on any detail of this car. IMHO.
  14. Depends what year???
  15. LOL! My lips are sealed :x:
  16. ive just finished fitting mine tonight. Woohooo! Very Bling! And Very bright! :hyper: TBH Ive got a FEW specks of dust in them, :headvswal but hey! nobody's perfect!(no fingermarks tho) ;) Just put my original non modded set up for sale and also some spare inserts, glasses etc if anyone has an accident! :o See for sale section. (end of sales plug! ) :D
  17. Yeh thats exactly it Si! Each one has a litle black box which most of us have attached to the car under the nose panel on either side of your custom air filter. Its just PLUG N PLAY then. Follow the instructions on the tin(well on the instruction sheet actually) Everyone .. but ..everyone who has converted is just blown away by the difference. Me included. Like Speedemon says.. the feeling of safety and security for nite driving is very re assuring.
  18. That will be an NA then?? BTW where is the 240Z option on this poll?? Cos that's my fav, and without its success we wouldnt have the Z32 tody!
  19. Why o Why are your looking at knackered rubbish when there are loads of perfectly useable cars for sale in this country and still more to come from Japan??
  20. You got even more PM now!!!
  21. Whats a S14a?? So Im thick??? I dont have a problem with that so why should anyone else. Anyhoooo If its a 200SX then the wheels do fit cos I use a pair on the front of my 300Zx for Santa Pod. Yeh 51/2" x14" with a 205 tyre is a bit narrow for regular use. You would need to drive carefully. ;)
  22. Well I think it looks awful. Its out of proportion. Look at that thick bottom lip. It even looks rough on the ebay pic, so Lord knows what it really looks like in real life.. I bet it is as heavy as fook and full of filler, and only fits the car its on ...no other. :( The price alone says to me its no good. All of course IMHO. :D
  23. and this is one of them. It was advertised on this forum for sale a bit ago and also on Ebay. When Frank had a few health problems a bit back the cars were sold off. The adverts for the car were placed on here by one of our long established and highly respected Subscribed traders. This one was eventually sold on Ebay and now the current owner, who is obviously a motor trader is attempting to cash in on the cars history. I have seen this car during the summer. It was mechanically perfect(and very cheap). It just needed the bodywork and interior tidying up a little. looking at the current photos I can see this has been done.. There is obviously as bit of "motor trade" sales hype now in the advert. Frank bought the 300ZX for the same reason that most of us did. He liked them! And so did his aides. So they bought two. Whats wrong with that??? Im thinking about buying a second one. So there are the facts.Nothing dodgy. Nothing sinister. No need for anyone to investigate anything. He wont get the asking price IMHO. But if he does I will be well mad cos I could have bought it for £2000. tidied it up and made a hoooooge profit. Good luck to him with the sale. :D
  24. JUST DO IT! Dont listen to anyone else. Listen to your heart. Look for an omen.Possibly two birds in the sky. ;) We are all here for a finite time only. Its what we do in that time that really matters, not what others think we should do with the time. I have seen a variety of chop tops in my time at various car shows etc. always have a 100% impact. Someone who is only one year older than me told me he was too old to go drag racing. What utter bo$$ocks. the only time you are to old to do anything is when you are dead. :( all of course...IMHO Oh Yeh... Paint in LIME METALLIC CANDYFLAKE GREEN TOO!
  25. ill check the quality of the fitting on Thursday when I bring the Koyo back! :x:
