  1. Well just come down to Nottingham tomorrow mate and all will be revealed! See Midlands meets for details.
  2. I would still be driving my 240Z, as none of the 300Zxs rivals interest me.! Well actually Im still driving it anyway, as I didnt want to part with it! ;) And unlike my Slicktop 300 it has gone UP in value since I bought it in 1998. :D
  3. Given that you can save money on a Third party insurance policy the deciding factor is ..."can you stand a total loss accident out of your own pocket?"
  4. The meet has been posted on Z Club.net too. This forum only caters for Z32s but as Boldy says we welcome anyone from the world of Jap Cars to join us on these informal meets. Im coming thru J26 on the M1 to the meet, so if you want to head strait down from Chesterfield you can tag along from there? A facelift Z31 well trhat will bring back memories for Luke Im sure! ;)
  5. No criticism of any individual or organization was implied or intended. was intended to be humorous, but obviously failed. So has been edited/removed today. hopefully this will resolve the matter.
  6. Or alternatively contact Mike at MJP in the traders section. He has two workshops near him with Z knowledgable mechanics. Bit out in the Essex woods tho(near Chipping Ongar!!!!LOL).01277 374201
  7. Because there are loadsa dodgy people out n about. I'm not accusing this particular guy of being dodgy or dishonest. BUT what is the relevance to 300ZX co uk and its members??? Not a lot that I can see. Why should i want to get involved in one mans crusade against a company.Thats what courts, trading standards offices etc are there for. Sorry, needs deleting IMHO.
  8. Lo siento por "el Hijack" pero es interesante encontrar otro miembro acqui en Inglaterra que habla espanol.
  9. All your reasons and facts are correct and I certainly dont seek to disagree with you. But I am looking at the subject from a different perspective. here is my (different) view of air con. My 300 is a weekend toy, so limited use.And only in temperate Britain. I am attempting to build and run the fastest(on a quarter mile strip)300Zx NA V6 in Britain. My minimalist view is.... dont fit anything to the car that isnt vital to achieving the stated aim. So no air con for me means I'm giving up a feature I not really used to. so no hardship there. Also the total weight saved will be significant in the overall weight reduction program. Better airflow to the water rad will help lower running temps thus increasing power. And mechanically the engine bay is simpler, Less things to break at extreme revs.
  10. they are indeed Tim. Both chunk and me have used the Kumho V70A road legal track day tyre. My plan this tear is to try a pair of Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials. Both these tyres will allow Chunk n me to run in the normal Z32 classes in the Z Club Drag Challenge. The use of NON road legal tyres eg slicks or wets will automatically put the car into Super mod class. As has already been said Jaffa is running a pair of slicks on stock 16" uk wheels. No doubt he will be able to help with some more details. The sheer variety of compounds and carcasses available makes choosing the best one a very difficult task. And anyone on slicks will be competing against Gavin with his 11.5sec SBC monster!!!! HTH
  11. Just fit a new one anyway. they are not expensive and this is one of the main sensors that sends "rich mixture" messages to the ECU. Make sure the terminals on the loom are not corroded also. Are you using a standard unmodified ECU??? My Central 20 ecu can be a bit of a bu**er at overfuelling if I dont take care on starting. HTH
  12. No worries.......... I know not everyone in Ireland has learnt to read yet! :x:
