Lolzzz
It is another 95 Version S NA manual similar to mine. Cant tell if its slick roof or targa . Correctly spec'd with Man air con, no cruise and no hicas. Complete with the "sports 300ZX logo seats. Might be non ABS too. Its hard to tell in the pic  Take off the pram handle and you will have a nice little motor. I personally dont like the colour or the wheels but that doesnt make it a bad car. Shame the owner has no idea what it is  I saw that turbo timer bit a few days ago when it was first listed. :D At the right money this would make a nice little car for someone. Right money?? just less than £3K would be good IMO :D

Yes .. but check out his ebay name ;) Not exactly a typical British name is it??? So he may well have a good excuse for his lack of correct English spelling.................................unlike people with names like Jimmy etc

Pain in the Ar5e !
Get it fixed. All the items /jobs you need doing are relatively cheap. s/h Starter s/h flywheel s/h rad or cheap new one Remove soggy spoiler. fit cheap plain perspex strip(£40) or just fill it in with filler. Run it a bit to see if you like it. If so... do some mods. If not then sell it. If it is a LHD US model it will sell over in Europe. If its a J spec RHD car then drive it over here to sell it

exhaust manifolds for an NA
All 2fast 2 cool products are imported . The big US dealers have it all made in China/taiwan and shipped in containers to US. Smaller dealers just buy from the US distributors. In some cases the stuff is shipped directly from the States to the UK buyer. The UK ebay seller just earns a comission and never handles the goods. Its usual for the parcels to be marked as "Warranty replacement parts" or summat similar with a "nominal" value of $10 or $20 so the price you see/pay on ebay is the price on your doorstep..... Job done! Just had a clutch from the States myself by this method. ;) And some silicone hoses too from someone else. So Im fitting "Taiwan Tat" to my car

exhaust manifolds for an NA
LOl!! Im only going to say this ONE MORE TIME..... "They DONT FIT WITHOUT MODIFICATION" Ring my garage man Malc tomorrow, my car is on the ramp having some fitted. He knows Its the second set hes fitted for me. ive already re positioned the O2 sensor boss and he will have to fit, remove refit etc several times till he hammers them enough to clear the steering column. Then he will have to do it all again on full lock cos the column runs thru an eccentic curve.. They do produce more power than stock manifolds and they do last more than 2 years. My old slicktop still has then on . I dont give a toss what the bloke at Ebay says. Ring him up and ask him if he has ever fitted any???????? Messing about probably adds £100 to the fitting charge over the normal charge. So that makes them £200 approx. RHD ones are more. Your choice. "stomps out of room!!!!"

Total pack of lies. They DONT fit without modification. They are designed for LHD cars. How many times do we have to go thru this???????

SWB N/A on Pistonheads
In my opinion its double the price I would pay for it. Just compare it with mine..... 1995 Version S NA manual. Just imported and like new underneath. Only fault of any note with mine is a weak/worn clutch. apart from that it drives handles and stops spot on. asking price from the dealer was £2500 with 11months MOT and 5 months tax. (I paid a lot less than the asking ;) ) Of course now Ive got it Im about to spend another £2500 on mods! LOl Buts thats another story. The guys in the club who have seen it will vouch for what Im saying. Im not boasting or anything about mine... just telling you to give you something to compare it to. The pics on Pistonheads show it as a nice motor and they are not common... however that doesnt make it a good idea to pay over the odds. I know of two 1995 manual Slicktop TTs that have sold between £3500 and £4500 very recently. Both very nice motors. HTH PM me if you want to talk more. The guys will be getting bored of me droning on about my new mota :nelson:

Weighing in ally
Very little!.... they are only light. Ally was fetching £1 a kilo last time I went. Not worth going tho unless you have 30Kg or more to weigh in.

Selling a Zed
Start just before Easter... People will be off work etc , weather will be better, days will be light longer etc. As already said its not expensive for what it is .... but many many people now are only looking to pay £2 to £3K for a zed. You dont need multiple buyers tho so just be patient. There are discerning buyers out there who know (like we do) just how much better these later cars are

Standard wheel value
try reading the post correctly Ivan....... :slap: quote... "I am after some and have been offered a set" IMO a set of 4 std J spec wheels with no tyres is worth £35 -£40, cos they will make £30 weighed in. So as already said just price the tyres according to what they are worth s/h on top of the wheel value.

Private plate help
If the reg number is not on a retention certificate then the donor vehicle needs to be MOTd as does the receiving vehicle. not sure about road fund licence. But all the info is on the DVLA website.

Weight of Zed??
Quite simple to verify mine  Here are the "pink slips" from the official public weighbridge. Maybe other people are just mistaken!!! :slap:
-
Weight of Zed??
My old slicktop weighed 1420kg And then after stripping out I got it to 1320kg. So I expect you will be a similar weight .

ceased brake calipers and failed on all emisions
What year is the car????? If its pre jul 92 then it doesnt need a CAT test, so doesnt matter if cats are there or faulty. If it failed a non CAT test then something like failed O2 sensors may cause it

air
Your K+N filter is fully washable. Just clean it and re oil it. It will outlast the car. and IMO is one of the best quality filters available. If you are getting dirt/crap splashed up on to it its probably cos the splashshield under it is missing. Nothing to do with the filter.
