  1. Cheers mate, what are the chances of it cracking with the flex of the tailgate? I've used tiger seal to bond it using a few screws to hold it down, what are the chances of skin pulling away from the tailgate over time and will the tiger seal soften when it's warm in summer? I know these questions sound a bit thick lol but just want my mind putting at ease.
  2. nice one, will the UPOL easy one be ok for smoothing then?
  3. hi, im currently fitting a tailgate skin, just got it bonded to the car and although i thought i new what filler i was going to use, im now having second thoughts. i was going to use U-POL easy one http://www.u-pol.com/product-cat/89/easy-one%C2%AE-super-easy-sanding-lightweight-body-filler.htm but im worried it will crack when the tailgate flexes any comments or sugestions greatly apreciated cheers si
  4. well hopefully it will just be somethin like the w/pump then, thanks for the help stella:duffer::duffer:
  5. that was my initial thought stella, but the temp guage never moved above halfway(i know there not reliable) and would the engine cut out and not start again until it cooled down. all the water seems to be at the front under and around the radiator and the belts, but it is hard to pin point where exactly it is until i can get all the effin plastic off from under the car, as its all just gatthered in there and is dripping through.
  6. no rattling seems to have stopped but to be honest ive not run it for too long.
  7. hmmm could have been i spose but i thought it was more of a loud rattle please dont be head gasket:( just had AA out to it before me and my mate towed it home, and he seems to think its the radiator, but its the rattling thats scared the sh@t out of me can anyone shed any light on the rattling noise, seemed to get worse as the car got hotter and it was whenever u put the revs on. the AA toped the water up up and the car started ok but didnt risk driving it home.
  8. I was driving home from work today, when all of a sudden the engine started to make a rattling sound, the sound gradualy got worse until i decided to pull up and investigate what noise was. when i opened the bonnet smoke poured out, i looked underneath the car and there seems to be what looks like water dripping from behind the plastic floor pan that covers the underneath of the engine. i tried to re-start the car to get me home and it started for a few seconds then just died out. ive noticed the temp guage is showing normal temp. can anyone help? by the way its a series 2 twin turbo. cheers si
  9. Sorry for sounding a bit fick, but how is it done exactly?

  13. there will be no painting the interior this time, no flash re-spray, no leather and defo no veilside maybe no bodykit(i did say maybe) at all infact, thinkin about a diferent route all together.
  14. over a year!! how you manage that, glad to hear your back in zed.
  15. Well i lasted 6 months without a zed, and im happy to say i took purchase of stevie007's(top bloke) zed today. it needs a bit of work cosmeticly and maybe a couple of performance mods but all in all it seems to be an excellent example, and a great blank canvass although this zed is going to be slightly more subtle than my last one. hope to see you at a few meets and shows sometime this year. cheers si
  16. Yeah i seen it, its been up for sale 3 times at various prices since i sold it, its now up for sensible offers.
  17. got mine when i was 27 sold it when i was 32  5 months ago! and now i want another!
  18. sold the zed yesterday  very gutted to see it go. but with my current situation as it is and the price of fuel, i dont think i had much choice, hopefully the guy who bought it (also called simon) will hopefully come on here, the guys into his jap motors and the jap scene in general so at least i know(or hope shes in good hands). anyway, thanks to everybody who ive met over and all the advice youve given me over the last 4-5 years :bow::bow:. wish you all the very best cheers si

  23. Im sure my zed has a mind of its own, its given me trouble free driving for 5yrs, its been an absolute pleasure to own, now its up for sale it decides to spit its dummy out. first the clutch decides to start slipping(although i have a new ACT clutch and Fidanza flywheel to be sold with the car) and today someones been to look at the car and now the speedo is playing up! it reckons im doing 160mph when im only doing 30mph thus putting 80miles on a 15mile trip  anyway no matter what explanation i gave the potential buyer understandably walked away(as i think i might have to be fair) leaving me feeling very embarased. oooo im annoyed! si
