  1. Could well have been me, been down to Cardiff today, were you in a Z, as I didnt see one?
  2. I am keeping a close eye on the prices of these, as I plan to get one when they are down to nearer my budget. Hopefully with the launch of the new model, the older ones will rapidly decline in value! An awesome machine, I was fortunate enough to have a go around a race track in one.
  3. I am toying with the idea of a change. Thinking of a TT Supra, I just love the look, or another RX8, a great drive and sounds like a superbike. Still might keep the Z for another summer though, it is admired by all sorts of people, another great drive, and I love the mighty howl as the turbos spin up.
  4. Ha, got to laugh about getting a kicking as a boy. It seemed to me at the time, (I am 48)that everyone was out to give me a thrashing. My dad, my mother, my grandad, poxy neighbours, my school teachers. I was constantly getting it from all quarters, and did it affect me? Of course it did, I was a right little b*stard!
  5. Just been out in mine for the first time in a week. After being covered in 4 inches of snow, and up to 16 degrees of frost, guess what? Yep it started immediately, and goes like a watch. Such a relief after using the wifes Mazda 323 for so long.
  6. I would have been here earlier, but decided to take the z out for some exercise, as it has been stood with 3 inches of snow on it all week. Bit of a mistake, as my driveway is on a slope (down to exit, up to park), it took me about 20 minutes of slip-sliding to get it back in the drive, on my return. RWD + fat rear tyres = fun in the snow!
  7. Ouch is too small a word!
  8. I have been very lucky to have found an NHS dentist, who takes a real pride in his work, and like me would rather repair than remove teeth. As a bonus, his receptionist is magnificent, a buxom blonde with superb teeth!
  9. When I went around the Nurburgring, I used an adapted Satnav cradle, and a mobile phone camera. Simples.
  10. Webber to win the title for sure. I got £20 at 14/1 on him at the start of the season. I saw a funny tweet on the quali show. "I dont care who wins the title, so long as it is not Hamilton" Signed Mr J Button, Frome, Somerset.
  11. Well done that man. My brother did that trip on a borrowed FJ1200 years ago, and I thought THAT was a challenge. But on a Fizzy.......!!!
  12. So does mine, but the b*stards don`t work.
  13. Hi All. The heaters on my Uk Z32 mirrors are not working. Are they on the same fuse as the rear window, as that works fine? Any other obvious places to look, as I cannot be certain that the mirrors are the originals? The motors are working fine. Cheers
  14. I think these are excellent looking wheels for the z. When you get your spigot rings would you please post up the size here, as I think I also have a slight vibration, with my (identical to your) wheels. The 2 dimensions (inner and outer diameter) should be stamped on them. Cheers
  15. HI All. Does anyone know if the centre light panel is the same part for the UK and Jap cars, as I am about to get a Jap one to replace my damaged UK one? Are all 4 lights the same also, ie reversing? Cheers
  16. Looking good, you just need clear side indicators. :cool3:
  17. Welcome. I never guessed they were familiarly called "Ludes", it sounds almost as daft as calling a Skyline a "Liner".
  18. lol at 65k. Each to his own and all that, but 65k? I could get a year old R35, and a year old Mazda R3 for the Missus for that!
  19. RX8 Quite unique, a great toy.
  20. Same chassis as an early Evo I believe. Engine is 260 in the early variant, and I believe 280 in the newer facelift model. Lovely tiptronic box, and lovely V6 howl when revved. Amazing fun in the snow (turn the TC off), mine was my daily drive for all of last winter.
  21. That was my last car before the z. They are thirsty (very low 20s), mine was reliable, excellent fun. One bad point is they nearly always sound tappety on tickover, some worse than others. Most owners just live with it, but it did irk me. They are very complex, with wacky suspension, and excellent handling. Thoroughly recommended as a stealthy estate car, stick 5 adults, luggage etc, and it is still a quick car. As a guide I sold mine for £1600, a few scuffs here and there, but solid. Pay around 2.5k for a minter There is a club http://www.clubvr4.com
  22. Mine. Looking forward to collecting in 2 weeks.
