  5. Do you know how to get the sooth look or not? Allan
  6. To be honest I cant be bothered with your threads now. You really need to sort yourself out.
  7. The clutch is slipping because he has fitted Toyo 888s and the grip is soooo good the clutch has worn out as the wheels wont spin????
  8. This looks to be an inverted picture of a lefthand drive car :)
  9. Nice but very Aston Martin on the back
  10. I am in Wooton Bassett most weeks, it seems that the repatrization of our fallen servicemen and women is becoming more frequent unfortunatly, again today the town came to a standstill at 1.30pm for yet another lost life. My thoughts are with the families and friends of these very brave men and women R.I.P Allan
  11. I have this down to a fine art, you need exact paint and lacquer. You rub the stonechip with a cone of 1500 wet and dry then with a fine artist brush touch in the chip with colour. With 2000 grit rub off any lip made. When dry touch in with the laquer and build to a slight lump. When dry rub down with 2000 grade wirh lots of soapy water. Buff op with a cutting mop and G3 compound with loads of soapy water. Hand finish with G1o and polish. It takes ages but no chip left. I got it down to an art and you cant see the chip. Allan
  12. I would take your glass components to a shop with an oven and get them baked to pop the air pockets, it might cosn tou 30quid but belive me its worth it. On a hot day the air can explode out and wreck all your work. You will be pissed off if that happens, for the sake of a few quid Allan
  13. Zedwizz you will need to bake the GRP body kit befor you even think of fitting. This needs to be done in a paint oven to expand any airpockets in the glass. If this is not done when the paint is baked in the oven the air pockets will blow out of the gelcote and you will have to start your flatting and painting all over again.
  14. done buy a mercedes/insurance aproved garage Say no more worst rep of all the main dealers, bet they wont even wetflat@3000 between coats ! doubt they even wetflat before cutting!!! I would not trust an dealer or insurance approved bodyshop, its all about the book hours and costs. I worked for ICI Autocolour, PPG and Max Mayer fitting the computer paint schemes in all the bodyshops and most are crap, with finish, masking, and paint match! You should see some of the stuff I have seen turned out of those places.
  15. Its going to cost at least 3K for paint as its a total respray. I had mine redone by Bodyworkplus after some silly bint drove into the side of it. That was a 4.5k job. All the shuts were done including the hatch. The kit alone is going to cost £1500. When i had mine done Lukes bodyshop (Frank) wanted £1500 just to put the rear arches on. I would hate to think what I have spent on bodywork, NOT even going there! As I said previous best getting one that has been done and save £££££ and a heart problem sorting everything out ;) Allan
  16. Just because you are paying loads of money dose not mean the job is done to the highest standard!!! Just ask VJAY
  17. Mine was done professionally, some of the best paintwork you will find around on a Zed
  18. To true Allan, 2k for your car, new engine from Jeff fitted 4k done.!
  19. When I did mine it cost me 6k to get it on and painted, then you need all the other bits to make it look right. You will need coilovers to get rid of the gapping space on the rear arches, then the mods to rectifie the camber adjustment. you will need wheelspacer at £200 to bring the wheels out to the arches. Whilst you are doing it you need to remove any rot in the sill and arch area as you will not have any access to them again once you have the kit on. It will look odd if you dont de-swage the doors at the same time. I am telling you the fitting of the kit is just the beginning. I would just wait and buy one with it all done! Allan
  20. 3K to fit and then paint on top
  21. Glad to see your ok, you can always get another Zed. A prat did the same to me whilst I was driving the van, make sure you, and anyone who was with you are not dammaged in any way lasting. I still have pains and that was a year ago and only 40mph
  22. Oil sucker. I use one to get the oil out of the sump in my boat. I used it to do mine, just suck out the oil from the pot, remove, replace and refill. simples eh! http://www.pelapumps.co.uk/default.aspx?A10PAGE=PL2000USE
  23. Mine are on the pannel behind the passenger seat, you can only see them when the seat is levered forward
  24. @17psi on stock pistons I am sure it will need a new engine very soon as well ;)
