  1. Ooh think I may have found it thanks to bolt's advice... Injector # 4 has a high resistance - a reading of 36ohms, all the others are about 12ohm. Is this confirmation enough to condemn that injector and say its that whats causing my misfire? :)
  2. cheers bolt yeah I read that on the Robo site so thats my first check :)
  3. I thought about doing that too! prices on all cool classic cars have shot up, I need to find myself a 240z or 260z before they are all stupid money!
  4. no didnt know that, thanks mate! :) So what, you put them all back in and your car was cured?
  5. Answer my Q Al lol what was the fault with yours?
  6. thanks Al, what was the fix for yours in the end? I want to do the dremel mod anyway so I can eventually get my 555s in.
  7. Thanks tony had a check today but the readings were similar to another bank. My mate come round today and we took the coil pack & plug out and saw it sparking as good as another bank, so theres definately spark there. My mate said this means its a fuelling issue and suggested swapping injectors over, but obviously thats not a quick task on a Z unless I get the dremel out! Is there an easier way to check the injector?
  8. Yeah now feck off :tt2: forgot to mention that obviously you cant just lay perspex sheets on a garage door with 50% of it overhanging as there will be a risk of it falling. So it had an AC bracket and pulley holding it down
  9. No mate not touched the ECU at all, but I will check that cheers :)
  10. Cheers Gaz, wait til you see some better pics of this one, its had a full respray recently and the pearl effect is much stronger :)
  11. Yeah I thought about that earlier tonight. Will attack it tomorrow
  12. I had the day off today so set to work on my pearl white NA, mikey very kindly offered his services. The last engine failed resulting in a nice hole in the block... that lump was removed last november, the car has just sat there since then. The old autobox also had a fault apparently so thats come out too. After a day's work the new NA engine and manual TT box are in and fully plumbed in, just need to get some oils and finish a couple of bits off tomorrow then it'll be ready for starting! Mikey commented on the spacious engine bay in the NA's, loads more room than the TT's. This one is especially clutter free as its had several items relocated and looks good. Looking forward to getting it tarted up and some decent pics of it  Old engine removed last november... new engine and box in today! The weather was a bit shite on and off but rain didnt stop play once we had extended our garage door cover... worked a treat LOL

  17. have you got a link of the one you bought?
  18. the plug looked identical to the one from cylinder # 2, will try another CAS & ECU tomorrow methinks, after checking the coil pack connector for voltage
  19. Looks good Paul where did you get the material from as I need to do mine at some point!
  20. My Twin Turbo has a misfire on cylinder # 4. Me & Mikey Bean had a look today to try and resolve it, so far we've tried changing coilpacks, spark plugs, PTU, cleaned up coil pack connector, can hear injector ticking like all the others. Where can I go from here? Can someone give me an idea of what to try next please? Got bits kicking around if I need to swap things like ECU etc. :shifty: Any input would be most appreciated thanks :thumbup1:
