  3. Press the schrader valve down (where its regassed) to make sure its empty, then yeah either undo them at the bulkhead or cut the pipes  then rip out the condenser (rad), receiver drier etc etc :)
  4. Have you soaked some penetrating oil in? If so and its still not playing ball, then its surely gonna need some heat :( you got a new bonnet yet? :tt2:

  6. Thanks for that Dave, surely once the pump is dealt with its just the four strap bolts and a few pipes to whip off?
  7. After tracing a strong smell of fuel earlier it turns out the tank on my UK TT is rotten under one of the straps and its just dripping out! Is there a particular order I need to stick to when changing it, i.e. for fuel pressure etc? Can I undo the fuel pump from the boot then drop the tank, and fit the new tank up to the old pump? please help! :confused1:

  12. No probs Ian, you'll soon pick up the lingo! NA - Naturally Aspirated (non-turbo) TT - Twin Turbo HICAS - 4 wheel steering, only found on TT models In the wanted section further down the forum, start a new thread in there asking for an NA power steering pump, as people check in there and hopefully you'll get a response. Send a message to this chap on ebay and see if he has any (this link is for a TT one) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BREAKING-Z32-300ZX-parts-Power-steering-pump-pas_W0QQitemZ380204693257QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item5885f73709 Hope that helps! :)
  13. I love classic american stuff, had this last year '72 Dodge D100. Been in the UK since the 80s, former drag racing truck   got rid though as it was too big, too loud and I felt sorry for the neighbours LOL :sweatdrop:
  14. Welcome to the club Ian, you are certainly in the right place here and its great to hear you have the Z bug! Power steering pumps for NA (non turbo) are out there for sale, but TT owners will often snap them up so they can remove the HICAS system.
  15. I think carmad should start pumping them out (a bit cheaper like) ;)
