  1. If I can remove it ok / find the other one probably about £25 delivered matey  Will certainly be better if you can supply it, because god knows how much a garage would charge just for the crossmember alone.
  2. Happy Birthday dudes
  3. You know what Pete, I'm pretty sure I bought a rad crossmember off you yonks ago, the more I think about it, sure it was for this car. But come MOT time it wasn't noted as a failure. What this means to Steve, is the difference of opinion of MOT testers, and fishing for work, they could well be being picky? I may still have it somewhere, or you are welcome to the one I have on my current breaker sat here (if you need it)
  4. Same as yours, uk manual TT. That was the first Z that I owned and it was a dream come true... had a few since! May be a heavy handed MOT tester, my brake pipes at the back have surface rust on but a mate said about cleaning them up and undersealing, they look bad but often its no where near dangerous. Do you know anyone in the motor trade? If so may be worth a word to see if they can help you out with getting it through an MOT. The crossmember maybe more of an issue, but theres garages round here that weld cheap so would imagine there would be some your way too.

  19. Is it true that the cam is unique to the head, i.e. you couldn't get another and just fit it expecting it to work straight away?
  20. what material did you use for yours Legrath?
  21. I have a TT engine here that hasn't been run for a while, the reason the car died was suspected headgasket failure. But amongst my boxes of bit I have a snapped camshaft! Is this something that can happen and what would the symptoms be, or is it likely that some rough mechanic has broken it taking it out? :detective: or maybe madmax tried to fit it. lol :tt2:
  22. I like this one Daz did you take it?
