  1. sorry to hear it Nick :( but chin up, you've got a truly awesome Z sat there, and by the time you get back onto it Zs will be rarer and more desirable, and you'll have the cream of the crop! ;)
  2. found a pic of my old Z with infinity 6x9s in the front door
  3. Would absolutely love to John but it'll not be in my budget :( Richard - thanks for offering to go have a look for me, would save me a long trip! I will let you know depending how this thread turns out lol. Leo - I got my Z and took the engine out straight away to change a turbo, had it all in bits at some point, painted it etc etc. I'm not scared of a bit of work :1eye: I know some of you dont understand, I dont expect you to, but as I say - in my world this is a better way round it, fit the best bits and have one decent zed and break up/sell the remainder. Last year was a learning curve for me and got the Z all ready myself, turned it from a multicoloured tired looking old red Z to something that i was happy putting on the stand at shows. this year its time for think long term ready for the Z that'll be with me for the forseeable future. Might hold out and see what pops up on ebay/autotrader/PH in the next few weeks.
  4. The main reason I'm looking to change is that I'm bored of white / would prefer grey or black. I plan to keep the Z indefinately and my UK model has rust blebs on the arches and rear panel, I darent look at the sills although they may be ok. Alright so in an ideal world I'd get the bodywork sorted and a professional respray, but for me personally a swap over project is more down my street. Quavey - good memory on the previous NA>TT conversion, it was a welshman lol but was the user 'Z32'. My first Z was grey and I love the colour, this one looks nice and tidy and despite looking like a bit of a throw-together of an NA and TT if its straight enough with no rust to contend with then it may be on the cards later this week. maybe lol.
  5. Grantham? no Spalding you div lol. On ebay its got 68 watchers and I've had no end of messages, my mates dad is looking at it tomorrow so it may be gone in the next few days! maybe not though lol stay hopeful ;)
  6. good idea :thumbup1:
  7. I was gonna say that but the missus used to live there, lol
  8. thats not the end of the world when you have two spare TT engines ;)
  9. I'm after a better Z to reshell mine into, either black or grey, and found this:- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1991-NISSAN-300ZX-3-0-V6-Targa-/190492157042?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2c5a37a472 Looks pretty tidy but dont know if its TT or NA?! says its 280bhp and got a TT front bumper, but dials look a bit bare? not seen many NAs in detail lol :saddam: Ok its got some chavtastic stickers going on but they can soon come off. :euro:
  10. LOL not heard that before :gun_bandana: When you get further south in Lincs maybe... Boston etc lol
  11. I know absolutely bugger all about ICE.. but I do know that one of my previous Z's I fitted 6x9s in the front doors, just cut the door card to suit and mounted them, they looked and sounded great. :thumbup1:
  12. I'm insured with esure, maybe I live in a posher area than you lol :tt2:
  13. No idea lol... I originally insured an Alfa 156 but then transferred it to my BMW 328 which cost no more, then transferred it again to the Jeep and it cost no more to swap over. So I guess the same as a 2.0 alfa  I'm 28 (:tt2:) full NCB sure it cost me around £260
  14. thats a lot of weight but sure the floor would take it... unless its damp it shouldnt affect it... but what do I know lol
  15. BTW the front bumper is only removed for off road use (saves spanking it on a rut!) its in the garage and can easily be refitted. Give it a clean today and took some more piccies :)
  16. Not calculated it myself... but the chap I bought it off run it on LPG all the time and reckoned it cost the same on gas as a medium petrol car
  17. Buy my Jeep  LPG ;) ;) ;)
