  1. My new Z has a rather strange knock coming from the engine which is fairly random. The noise has been apparent ever since the previous owner bought the car, and it hasn't got any worse probably in 8000 miles. The car went into Zedworld and Jamie listened to it and agreed it was bottom end and suggested it would only last 1000 miles but that was over 2 years ago! The knock is no worse now than it was 2 years ago and the knock goes away as soon as I start putting my foot down. The knock is more noticeable at low speed then goes away at faster speed. If the car is idling at a standstill you can bring the revs up slightly then the noise will start but then seems to clear. The car still drives perfectly and is very quick, so it doesnt appear to have any symptoms other than the noise? I assumed that if the bottom end was knackered then it would do it all the time? Any ideas or suggestions would be greatfully received, cheerZ :scooter:
  2. recaros are worth about £20 each del. But I'll give you £50 for the pair. :tt2:
  3. Are you bothered about quicker acceleration? do you know the difference it makes? I've got an NA diff to fit to my TT. IMO its a no brainer I'd get an NA subframe & diff. You could sell your HICAS removal stuff to help fund it, not sure how much they go for second hand.
  4. Yes ANOTHER one, I would like to change the rear lights to my other ones, the quad lights suit it but not really my cup of tea. Only problem is they are blended in
  5. cheers for the comments guys, I promise I wont give up with this one and buy another  I've got everything I need with this one!
  6. scrap man has already had them. :asshole: lol No they will be swapped onto the new one, cant imagine me ever selling them! Does mean the new ones will be available though :whistling:
  7. Welcome Mike, get some pics of your Z up! You'll have to be a subscribed member to sell stuff, but its well worth it and you'll benefit from it. :thumbup1:
  8.:lol: Yeah I will one day! got the new cables but it looks hard to do! saying that I do all the Z work myself so sure a new door cable is within my power :whistling:
  9. Saw something I couldn't refuse so had to buy it... a Black UK 300zx Twin Turbo! Its got loads of mods done already and is very tidy, so much more so that my NA. Its not all gravy though.. the engine is noisy but I have the TT lump I was going to put in the NA which will be fitted. It is seriously quick compared with my old TT and I'm well happy with it, theres a few things I will be changing wth regards to the looks but it'll soon be there. The engine has a bottom end noise that hasn't got any worse in the last 7000 miles and happens fairly randomly then goes away, but I'll be replacing it, and at the same time it'll have uprated intercoolers, radiator, boost controller, NA rear diff, lightweight flywheel, crank pulley etc etc etc looooads more, so should be fairly nippy then  Anyway enough of the waffle heres some pics.
  10. Technically your wheel will never get any closer to the caliper so shouldn't matter? How do the wheels sit with the arch now at the front? is it worth getting some bigger hubcentric spacers - 20mm or something?
