  1. you'll have to reach into the hole and pull a rod, but without the handle there it'll fall into the door
  2. most of them are truly shocking, such a shame. theres a chrome-wrapped audi TT near me, its disgusting.
  3. happy birthday ian :)
  4. It is dead easy Rob and there isnt really much that can go wrong, the longest part is removing the trims from inside! I hate doing that lol.
  5. Gloria's have a 3.0 single turbo engine, a VQ30DET :) so not a Z engine, or supra engine, or a 350z engine, or a FOOKIN SKYLINE ENGINE lol
  6. Thoughts are with you and your family Steve, my close work colleague went through a similar hell last year and I was with him every step of the way, I remember how emotional that was and it wasn't even my family. I hope little Maisie pulls through :)
  7. never had any points, couple of close calls that I've talked my way out of, but thats it :)
  8. I used them quite a bit in the past when I had my Dodge, just gotta watch for the customs charges though!
  9. Excellent news, thats the only one of your zeds that I havent seen in the flesh, I'll pop over when mine is back on the road! :thumbup1:
  10. think I need to straighten my engine crane. lol and I think mike nicked my work torch :(
  11. I've never part ex'd a car, always sold them. And I'm on car # 33
  12. Alex & Mike came round to mine earlier to get some bits and I kind of roped them into swapping my engine :whistling: The car has sat untouched since mid september, I'd unbolted (almost) everything at the time and tried and tried to get the engine out but then gave up with it after a list of difficulties. But now the old engine is out and the new engine sat in the bay, so just needs plumbing in! Saved me an awful lot of hassle and swearing, so massive thanks guyZ :thumbup1:
  13. oh right... lol :whistling:
  14. if you saw it driving it wasnt this one, been off the road some time. Did see a pearl white G reg one earlier though in lincoln.
  15. I know a few of you guys with pearl white Zeds were looking for some panels etc, well the car that was supposed to be having my old NA engine has appeared on ebay for breaking, located in Lincoln. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260868298603

  18. My turn to put a link up to an ebay Z, but only to highlight 2 points, I reckon its a very good price for the car and should sell pretty quick! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-300ZX-FAIRLADY-Z-3-0-V6-REPAIR-/180734531476?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2a149e1794 Point 1:- Well f**k me, I've had a very good low mileage NA engine on ebay now for a couple of months, a few watchers but no bidders, starting price of £250!! :cursing: How did they come to the price of £1300?! :sneaky2: Point 2:- Looks like they bought the wheels from this previous forum thread, I'm sure a few here will remember   http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=148763&highlight=fender they were originally buy it now for about £1200 iirc :tt1:
  19. Welcome along Rachel :)
  20. Glad you are ok mate, I jacked my Z up the other week with the engine crane from the anti roll bar as my jack doesnt lift very high, I forgot that the handbrake was still off. I recall the comedy moment of the crane tipping and me going flying, luckily there was no-one watching! But as yowser says you have to be careful, anything can happen and these are big heavy & dangerous weapons when things go wrong.
  21. new job in the pipeline? gonna be a sewage worker? :euro:
