  1. Feel for you mate, know what a journey you've been on with this car. Get this little issue sorted and you can start to enjoy driving it. Let's hope for a cracking year weather wise :cool3:
  2. It's an ongoing problem as paint manufacturers have had to diminish the amount of VOC's in the (oil based) paints. Dulux have as has been said suffered particularly with the new regs. It is worse when applied to MDF, which your window boards may be. Especially if they haven't been sealed properly.
  3. Pretty sure that is IanL's red Slicktop.
  4. Depends what level of 'correction' you want for the paintwork. Get yourself on Detailing World forum and do a search for detailers in your area. It's a good forum and you'll get all the advice you need.
  5. Get it done. At 300quid it's a no brainier IMO
  6. See if Baz still has this stereo for sale. Just what you need. Job done and no fanning around. HTH http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?167591-Loads-of-bitz-for-sale&highlight=iPod
  7. I like that :cool3:
  8. If I knew how much it would cost to finish I'd be tempted. It's definitely a bit of me bud. I guess like most of us there is that nagging suspicion that if something is too good to be true it generally is. Seems like really good value.
  9. I'll message him on Facebook for you Pete.
  10. Looks like they've done a nice job :cool3: I would of had them mask off from the base of the wing mirror housing to the leading edge of the bonnet, and continued the top colour. But that's just me. It is such a good feeling getting a freshly sprayed car back. Get some protection on it for now, then give it the full works in the spring.
  11. Looking forward to this Steamer. Actually something on tv I want to watch :cool3:
  12. I think the second part is the same time next week bud. I enjoyed it. Bet you and Bri had a bit of man cave envy lol
  13. It's deffo one for you Bri. Seriously bud.
  14. Get watching chaps
  15. Sorry it's not a Zed, but i took up hairdressing when i realised i couldn't handle twin turbo's :innocent: One of the only things letting the look of my car down (IMO :laughing ) is the faded rear light plastics. So I bought some AutoBrite scratch out during a Christmas promotion on Detailing World. This is the result. This was applied using a micro fibre towel, worked in for literally a couple of minutes, then buffed off. Here is a 50/50 for comparison. Hope you agree they look so much better now, thought this might be of interest/use to some of you as I'm sure others have a similar problem. Thanks for looking. Daffy.
  16. Hi Snozz, I've done a few extensions in Dorchester over the last couple of years. Whereabouts are you? Get yourself in the newbies section and introduce yourself properly bud. Welcome Btw.
  17. I have to say chaps that this is a thoroughly interesting read. Great thread. Been following it all along with interest and hopefully learning something along the way. Although my memory is shocking!!
  18. That's the kiddy
  19. They do one like the one I had below I got it from Dave (carmad) on here. Think CZP sell them. Pretty sure it was one of the American zed specialists that supplied it, do a search. Daffy.
  20. I thought you posted before trying to attain a new bumper as someone had damaged yours? Maybe I'm mistaken. Wouldn't be the first time lol
  21. I'm with Alan, definitely black. The Nissan logo on the standard calipers is raised, so you can carefully sand that back to silver before you clear coat them. Your Zed is a stunning example, always looks fantastic. I take it you sorted the issue with the front bumper? Daffy.
  22. Very nice :thumbup1:
