  1. Some great pics there Rose. Your car is looking really well.
  2. That mr2 camper conversion is for sale on eBay lol. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/350877468329?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  3. I really like the colour and it looks like they've done a great job. You need a bold colour to carry off the bumper, skirts etc. I would of kept the bonnet the same colour if it was me. Satin black wheels will set it off nicely and then will tie it in nicely with the roof bars. The most important thing though is are you happy with it? Because at the end of the day, that's all that matters. A bumper like that is always going to divide opinion, but yours is the only one that counts :thumbup1:
  4. Nice one Ian. Well pleased for you
  5. Gutted for you James. Your luck has to change soon. Glad you are okay.
  6. Both cars look great Pete. Was the weekend as eventful as always?
  7. You are 3 minutes late lol
  8. I'm getting old. This thread makes me shake my head and feel disappointed. Are we really supposed to believe everyone has access to a 'private' road to achieve the quoted speeds?? And what's with the willy waving (not you Nicci lol) quoting such speeds?
  9. Si has the Bose rear boxes which accommodate a 6" speaker.
  10. Do the ducts the same colour as you freshly painted wheel centres IMO.
  11. 2010. Same as you, bought it to gain experience as it was the bike I did my CBT on. Just about to go for its first mot.
  12. NA reliability should not be dismissed ;) especially in immaculate condition!
  13. I have recently done my CBT and have a YBR 125. Does that count?
  14. They will value it at current market rates. Not saying they are right, but doubt you'll get an agreed value of 15k like you were expecting. It might well be worth that if you add all the bits up, but would it sell for that? I do think you have some recourse to expect to be allowed to cancel with the same costs involved as if you were still in the cooling off period. Shouldn't have taken them longer than 14 days to sort the agreed value. Insurance is an absolute nightmare!! Hope you get it sorted bud.
  15. Which is perfectly adequate IMO. I actually enjoy spending a good few hours doing mine, my better halfs and a few paid 'details' though. More a thorough clean than a detail but it seems to be the current parlance lol.
  16. Spray the car with a citrus pre wash (I use ValetPro) and leave to dwell whilst you fill your wash bucket (AutoBrite banana gloss), rinse of the pre wash. Using the two bucket method with grit guards in both wash the car with a Gtechniq merino wool wash mitt. Rinse with a running hose or watering can. No need for high power. I also regularly decontaminate with Tardis and Ironx or similar to remove any tar and iron fallout (you'll be surprised how quickly it builds up) if you are doing this do it after you've rinsed the citrus pre wash, and before you shampoo it. You have brand new paint so won't need to clay it as yet, and it'll still be soft for a while anyhow. I also use dedicated wheel cleaners (non acid) and seal my wheels. Also make a point of keeping all the wheel arches clean and free from dirt and debris. I find Wheel Woolies are well worth the 35 quid. Get yourself a few detailing brushes to get in all the nooks and crannies like around badges/trims etc. I have gone off waxes a bit as sealants are so much easier to work with. A couple of recommendations are Auto Finesse tough coat and Autobrite cherry glaze. If you are going to use a quick detailer make sure the MicroFibre you apply with isn't bone dry.just spritz it before you 'swipe' the car. Chemical guys v7 is a brilliant QD. Thats the brief version of how I do mine anyway.
  17. Well done buddy. Stick with it and the results will come. It doesn't actually get any easier as the fitter you get the more you do!! As I said on FB the 2nd month is a whole new level. Day 31 is like starting over again. I had some really good results fom it, but you must keep your diet in check. Best of luck, it WILL be worth it.
  18. Have a great day guys and take loads of pics. I'd come along and say Hi but working today :(
  19. She's a cutie. Congratulations :balloon:
  20. You should both be proud of what you've achieved with your Zed, especially as its all your own work. With a little help from Bean flicker obviously :tongue_smilie: Certainly some unique touches. Keep the updates coming.
  21. Good question Al. Interested to know this too.
