  1. Karting is good Avonmouth have the best track for many miles around and it is indoors - need 35 - 40 people to get the place to yourself. There is one at Castle Coombe that I have heard good things about.. Drivin Ivan
  2. Good move to walk away, l aways do so if there is anything that makes me feel uneasy. Holding out for a black one! - If you see a good car get it, if it is really important to you then get a respray. Wanted a black one (and still do) but found a good car with history from Japan that met every other criteria I had so I got a red one. Also paid over the odds for a car I was confident about rather than pay less for a dodgy one. 4. How about each driver is given a test to see at what speed they can drive safely at. You could pass at one speed and then as your ability grows you could add say a 90mph test. I have taken a long time to learn how to drive fast and SAFE, it isn't easy. Technology that identifies your licence plate could also be used to identify your max speed. there are pro's and con's for all schemes, but all we really need to do is pay attention more when we drive. 5. Oh yeah, for info: the place is Circuit Motors @ Castle Coombe, Wiltshire. Drivin Ivan Jap SWB TT Manual slick top in cherry red pearl, 41/2" rear cans, Brembo discs, porterfield pads and 3 security systems.
  6. My mate has a UniChip attached to his car (not a Z) - he gets it remapped every time something is changed (ok it's expensive @£100), the chip is very flexible. I have just put my Z in to the garage that does the mapping (it's in for repairs to the clutch hydraulics) and I have asked him to put it on the rolling road and to look into what can be done with the UniChip for the Z. Will let you know what he comes back with. Drivin Ivan Jap SWB TT Manual slick top in cherry red pearl, 41/2" rear cans, Brembo discs, porterfield pads and 3 security systems.

  8. Nice Audi, wait a minute didn't audi do that 20 years ago and call it the quattro and got over 600BHP from a 2.2? Old hat! and yeah it looks shit cos it's a executive saloon car, designed to sit in a car park and make idiots feel important! 9. I have a complete set of Fulda's on mine (came with the car) and I'm not impressed. Will use them up as quick as possible and replace them with some sticky rubber - Yokahama AVS or A539 or Eagle F1's have always been good to me.
  10. That's a real nice colour car you've found there. Now if you could just come and put those wheels on mine........ Drivin Ivan Jap SWB TT Manual slick top in cherry red pearl, 41/2" rear cans, Brembo discs, porterfield pads and 3 security systems.
  11. Liverpool Victoria (make your own mind up) Gave me a rebate of £120 when I swapped from the (heavily modded) scooby even though I keep it on the street and have written off 2 scoobies. Still payin around the £500 mark (lots of protected no claims and 33yrs old) fully comp. 13. If you just remove everything behind the little blue badge on the front you might just have something reliable! Took more than one ford (MK2 Escourt anyone?)to learn my lesson.. Drivin Ivan Jap SWB TT Manual slick top in cherry red pearl, 41/2" rear cans and 3 security systems.
  14. You don't need a cat flap, cats can teleport - fact! One second the cat is there the next second it is not - only possible explanation when you look at the facts! Drivin Ivan Jap SWB TT Manual slick top in cherry red pearl, 41/2" rear cans and 3 security systems.

  16. Evo is a good laptop I have run a similar spec one for the last 2 years. Before buying, tell him the batteries are notoirous for showing lots of time left and then dying all of a sudden - get him to knock off £30 for a new one. 18. anyone know when the next few cruises are in the sw?? like brighton or chelsea cruise?? or any info on where to find em. he's in the wrong country, how long have chelsea and brighton been in the south West????
  19. Had a lovely moment in at the SW meet this afternoon, two young lads came up open mouthed at the 5 Z's lined up and asked what cars are those. Took pride in telling them they were Z cars. Drivin Ivan Jap SWB TT Manual slick top in cherry red pearl, 41/2" rear cans and 3 security systems
  20. It was good to get out and meet a few members and see some more cars. We certainly made the car park look a lot better with 5 Z's. Drivin Ivan Jap SWB TT Manual slick top in cherry red pearl, 41/2" rear cans and 3 security systems
  21. Two WRX scoobies this year: one at £6k and one at £6.8K - crashed the first one (4 days old  , still had the Jap tyres and I had just discovered they go sideways much better than forward... err it didn't end well!) and the second was stolen a month and a half ago, recovered but insurance wrote it off. But that gave the chance to own a Z :hyper: :hyper: Drivin Ivan Jap SWB TT Manual slick top in cherry red pearl, 41/2" rear cans and 3 security systems!
  22. Was given the name Drivin Ivan by a Scotish mate (it sounds much better with the accent) as my name's Ivan and I've been drivin since I was 3. Drivin Ivan Jap SWB TT Manual slick top in cherry red pearl, 41/2" rear cans and 3 security systems cos the scooby was nicked from under my window
  23. Bring plenty of money as parking in Bristol requires a substantial capital investment, but I have never had any trouble in any of the car parks - avoid the NCP's. there's plenty of street parking available (but not free) choose a well lit not too busy area and you will be OK. I always use the car park at the back of college green (if you know Bristol). Drivin Ivan Jap SWB TT Manual slick top in cherry red pearl, 41/2" rear cans and 3 security systems cos the scooby was nicked from under my window....
  24. Wiltshire police have got an Evo 8 as a patrol car. Seen it on the M4 and at Castle Coombe Rally Day earlier in the year. Not nice to think they might be able to keep up for a little while  Drivin Ivan Jap SWB TT Manual slick top in cherry red pearl, 41/2" rear cans and 3 security systems cos the scooby was nicked from under my window
