  1. That thing's been on eBay before. Last year I think? Horrible abortion of a vehicle it is too. Absolutely ruined what would have been a pretty decent car.
  2. Yep, definitely like that. A nice update and fairly understated as well.
  3. That's the thing though: they would. You'd get all these people coming out of the wood-work in their chipped Saxos having a go at every possible opportunity.
  4. If you can get hold of his address you can take legal action. Even if not I suspect you could do so anyway, although your action would then have to include eBay in order to force them to hand over his details. Mis-representing goods for sale is completely illegal regardless of whether it's a private or trade sale.
  5. 2 years old it may be... but in the words of the T-1000, that's a nice bike.
  6. Well, the 300C looks great, but is supposed to be a bit crap, whilst the X5 (X3? can't tell from that angle) is a bit of a knob's car (I think). Not really a fan of Range Rovers either, for similar reasons to the BMW. Merc is nice. Like the look of the Volvo from markzx and really like that Jag from takemetothepub.
  7. Yeah, but apart from the spoiler that's a nice car... well, apart from the wheels as well actually. And the steering wheel's pretty nasty looking too come to think of it. But basically, not a bad looking car. Change that spoiler and it'll look a different beast entirely.
  8. How stupid am I? When I saw the figure in the thread title I thought it was the mileage. That's £20k. I retract my earlier comment about somebody "snapping it up".
  9. Yeaaaaaaaaaah... more than a little bit overdone for my liking. I'm somebody will snap it up though.
  10. Yep, random isn't it? I bought a couple of pairs the other week for the grand total of £12, and they're pretty fantastic actually. Not so clever when it's wet, but fine the rest of the time.
  11. Well I think it's beautiful... overpriced, but beautiful. And as for looking futuristic, it's kind of overrated anyway because it just tends to mean things look dated even more quickly.
  12. Now I know this baby belongs to somebody on here because I've seen a sig pick of it, but for the life of me I can't remember who. I walked past the car just after 1.30 today.
  13. Thing is.... the Murcielago costs £190,000 on the road and is just as powerful... at least if you go for the LP640 (for which I've quoted the price). So why pay an extra £510,000 (at today's exchange rate, roughly)? I do kind of like the way that all Lambo's appear to be capable of space travel though. It's a nice touch.
  14. Well, not the most reliable source in the world, but according to Wikipedia, his agent says that both he and his 5 year old son were killed: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colin_Mcrae Damn spooky how these people get this info to update it so quickly. Last time I was on was around 9pm and it wasn't even on the BBC front page then, unless I'm the most unobservant person in the world. Like a lot of other people I enjoyed the games, although I didn't watch much of the TV rally coverage. RIP.
  15. I have to ask: how much was the fine?
  16. I'm with Ossian and Paul. You've had some truly dreadful luck, but having stuck with ityou must have spent ££££s on this by now. I think you're probably in for too much to just chuck it in and start with another car. *Any* zed can develop expensive problems. Mine did so having bought a house I just had to take it off the road because I can't afford to fix/run it and pay the mortgage. Point is at least you know what the problems with this one are/were, and you know what's been fixed and what hasn't and that in itself is a heck of a lot more service history than most of us have for these brutes.
  17. Ouch! Hope he survived. I think it takes a special kind of madness to run yourself over though.
  18. Ah come on guys, change the record eh? Not everyone who gives a damn about the environment is a "hippy", and I suspect a lot of those people aren't hippies either. And 1800 officers to deal with a protest of 2000 people? That's nearly a 1 to 1 ratio, which is just ridiculous. The police have a choice about how the react to and deal with situations like this. Yes, 1800 officers is a waste of police time, and undoubtedly they could be doing better things, but that's hardly the protesters fault: as I said, the decision about how to deal with such a situation lies with the police, and in this case I'd have to suggest they've decided unwisely, however I suspect this is less about security than about sending a "message" and trying to discourage legitimate protest, because of course that makes everybody's lives easier, right? Or actually, on reflection maybe they're just being stupid: "never ascribe to malice that which can be explained by incompetence."
  19. And based on how late the PS3 was to start with, and how unbelievably expensive, when's that likely to be? They must truly despise their customer base. After all the hype and as you say, the current crop of games is disappointing to put it kindly. I used to be quite a fan of the original PlayStation (although I never went and bought one because I knew I'd fail my degree if I did), and perhaps a bit less so of the PS2, but I think that was just because the novelty had worn off a bit... but this whole PS3 business has been a total debacle from start to finish. No way I'm handing my money to those arrogant idiots.
  20. Theoretically the PS3 is a superior machine, but taking advantage of the extra performance is problematic due to the difficulty of programming the cell processor in such a way as to take advantage of the additional horsepower. I'm told there are restrictions on what you can use the additional CPU cores for as well: they're not all general purpose, so that just makes it even trickier. For my money I'd say go 360 because it's significantly cheaper and has a ton of games already out for it, and great online support.
  21. Unbelievable! Wikipedia link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jake_Brown Apparently, although he walked away he sustained liver and lung contusions, as well as stress fractures in his vertebrae, but frankly I'm amazed he wasn't dead. Absolutely incredible.
  22. Oh yeah, I have to get me one of those.
  23. Aha, OK thanks. Maybe I don't have any ammo after all then. Cheers matey.
  24. The reason I ask is that our work support forums are often quite slow and I've been told it's an inherent problem with phpBB, but I thought 300zx.co.uk, which has 10 - 20 times as many active users at any one time, also ran on phpBB, and yet it never seems slow... and that's with people having massive signature pics and all the rest of it. So, is it phpBB, vBulletin, or something else? And what kind of hardware/OS combination is it run on? Sorry for the extremely nerdy questions, I'm just after some ammo to get our own forums sorted out because they're just a bit embarrassing sometimes. Thanks, Bart
  25. Sounds to me like you should report this to the police.
