I too am seriously interested, I have idling issues and will be due a cambelt change soon so may as well go the whole hog.

I just ordered a new hose from the dealer for mine, wasnt expensive.

The E class was only bought as a working truck TBH but its been a good workhorse ( I only wanted a sensible estate lol). you should call in for a coffee one day as although its a nice place there are very few good neighboughs, and fewer petrolheads.

I didn't realise how many people on here lived nearby lol. She is off to get new paint and new wheels very soon.

Just wondering... where do you all go to have ya car sorted out??? I know a lot on here do thier own stuff and so do I but sometimes things get a bit busy in life and you eventually say ... hey my car will die without help so you have to bite the bullet and give it to someone else to do. So, where would ya go? where do ya go?. Right now I need belts doing and have a noisy tappet (lifter). Also have a auto trans changing up way to high in normal driving buy hoping a filter/fliud change will sort that. I think I am expecting a massive bill on this one but hey... thats what ya get when ya have a supercar... just asking who I can trust if anyone can help (the last so called specialist I used f00ked my car car up big time and c ost me thousands.... twice). :no:

never ever fit a body kit to a car that is already perfect to look at... just my opinion.

Is it not the old school test of spraying carb cleaner around the hoses and if the engine dies you have found the vac leak? it used to work on american stuff I have owned in the past,

I have a headlamp issue due to leaking targa's... do the headlamps come on while ya in bed? get up in the middle of the night and check, from a previous post it sound like I need to look somewhere in the drivers footwell (its the drivers side leaking on mine.

I leave mine disconnected a lot lately with no issues, with the rain leaking in at the mo one headlamp comes on and flattens the battery until the alarm goes mad at silly o clock in the morning.

you will need fingers the size of tweezers to change the clutch peadal and servo... best of luck.

Jeff.. thank you so much for the heads up, I have developed a rumble when starting and ocational top end tapping along with drops in oil pressure, exellent photo's of the access to this job, the factory manual is good but pics are always a great help..... jap slapper I have used people like that one too many times and now I dont give the Z to anyone to fix.

Ok any ideas people, the car is off the road at the mo and full of bin bags to protect the seats, changed the T top seals and sealed em on with sickaflex (it stopped leaking for about 4 weeks ) now the serious wet stuff has started falling its pouring in again... also cleared out the front and rear drains when I changed the seals.:helpsmilie:

well done... I thinking of selling cos aof a few tapping noises from the engine and a cfew bad shifts from the auto box... time for a rethink here too.

I have the same problem but usually accompanied by a tapping lifter.

Was only at the classic bike show so gave the Z a run out rather than the bike so I could get all the things I bought home.... sorry won't go again lol.
