How many of you run silkolene pro S 10/50?
I have been using Castrol RS 10w-60 for the past few years (think it's now called Castrol Edge) and haven't had problems. Having said that, I do think sometimes it does sound tappety.

Looking for component speakers....enough space in the door?
Sounds like that fookin Mark Turner is copying my install design.....the bast*^d :slap: Be careful when you go to pick it up. Makes sure he has installed the front door speakers properly. Asked him to fit my first Focal speakers in my zed and he made a right pigs ear. I paid him to mount the speakers on MDF and didn't find out until I got my interior retrimmed that he didn't bother doing it. Went straight back for a refund and a flee in his fookin ear. The lad who did my install used to work for Mark a few years ago.

Component speakers...worth the upgrade?
Si, You'll need to be careful with a sub box that large, as you'll not be able to draw your tailgate blind. That was the issue I had when I first installed a box in the tailgate. I ended up with a custom built sub area, to enable me to still close the blind. I have my front door speaker crossovers inside the door panels, they fit no problem. Not sure if you can see from any of my rides photos, but I have fitted my tweeters directly opposite to the the door mirrors. I know you don't like stick on parts but they don't look too offensive. You can always get them flushed in to the top of the door pad (IIRC Apache has his flushed into his door cards). As for front door amp; It really depends what your budget is TBH mate. The speakers will be a million times better with separate amplification. The head unit is rated as 4 x 50watts but you'll not be getting any where near that. They are always war over rated. Have you already bought your rear speakers? If you haven't, you'd be better off not fitting rear speakers and using the money to get the best upgrade you can for the front. When using components in the front and a sub in the back, you don't really need rear speakers. I would also recommend you visit a good local in car hi-fi specialist. You don't have to commit to buying from them but they can give you a lot of technical knowledge and advice. They will definitely tell you to bin the rear speakers.

After 9 1/2 years of Z ownership she's gone - 2 months later i want another one !
Sounds like a very rare untouched and unmolested UK manual with very low mileage....and one owner...how many of those do you find these days. If it's as good as he states, it's well worth it.

ooohhh, me likes this skyline
That's exactly what I was thinking....£10K for a 1995 GTR I wouldn't swap my 1996 Zed for that, no way. This is what I can't understand. How come they expect that for a fast saloon car (coz at the end of the day, that's all it is), against a beautiful Zed.:confused::confused:

how long will you have it
Into my 5th year of ownership now and no plans to sell it. Must admit, I did think about it last summer but decided it wasn't worth trying to sell. Similar reasons as the guy in the first post really. It's paid for and eating no meat, as they say. I know I would have regretted it as well. Have come to the conclusion that it will be in my garage for it's lifetime, however long that may be. In other words, I will the last owner of my zed.......famous last words :D TBH most people on here say they wouldn't sell their zed but I reckon a large proportion of those owners are kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place. They know how much Z32's are worth these days and balancing that against the time and expense they've put into theirs, they just can't justify selling it.
