ive had a z center ferrari rear panel on my car for years now and all of a sudden after a dose of night nurse i woke up and thought i actually dont like them so ive decide to go back to original if not 99 spec on the rear anyhoo what do you all think to the style of the ass end 99 or aftermarket???

i used to work for bentley and still have specialist tools for them and loads of recall sheets too and to be honest dont bother they are poo if its not rusty it will probably be brittle and as they say at crew its a frature not a fault the bmw green label bentleys are crap and th red label isnt much better either always look out for poor brakes as this is a common problem on them too as they are full power brakes and the pumps leak for fun into the v of the block so you lose vrake pressure also the rear spring cups rot out and need rewelding back on the handbrake never holds properly they piss oil and hydrolic brake fluid out of the pipes located over the n/s/f chassis leg rocker gaskets are horendous to change if you need to take the inlet pipes off this can end up being a full day to get them back on but depends on engine errr also look out for leaking head gasket as this is common too and the head bolts/nuts snap very easy also steering racks can be common to some 80s models moreso the b8 hth

im trying to run 850 injectors at the moment but havent run the car in yet so im just getting paranoid of getting to full boost and losing fuel pressure im on 2 bosch external pumps now but not really convinced on the way ive done it ive got that mmmmmm........ feeling know what i mean? :)

so how did you do it boys did you splice into the original connector? wire for wire and then tee the fuel supply in tank? and make it so you can just drop the two pumps into the tank? sounds like a good way to do it as im finding external pumps a bit noisey and they make me nervous

im an mot tester and im afraid some bits are right and some are wrong the part about getting into the boot is to check for corrosion but a tester is not allowed to remove anything to inspect ie carpet etc you can only use firm pressure to check for galloping tin worm in a prescribed area so if your boot is full of golf clubs etc then you issue a refusal for test which all testers should(but never do) check the vehicle before logging it onto the test and a third brake light is tested if fitted but not a failure if it dosnt work you can only advise it as long as the two outer ones work but it boils down to testers discresion hth :)
