  1. Keep it in doors Dan or the inside will go redder than a dik on a dog overnight:yes:
  2. This very same problem can give the symtoms of tub seals gone bad..the Gravity oil return from the tub cartridge cant return fast enough into the sump because of positive pressure and the cartridge fills up resulting in oil getting past the seals:wink:
  3. make or design there own??:whistling:
  4. In all fairness and to the zeds defence Dan ive had a good few zeds and after driving yours that was the softest unstable ive ever drove mate as i told you..far too spongey on each corner and those new springs you have now will transform your views when fitted:yes:
  5. Whats all this "e" on the end of matt malarky making "matte" about
  6. Screw it down into the body(clockwise ) to increase boost (extra load on the spring) Steve....What i have found and ime sure Noel wont mind me saying so is the thread pitch on the preload bolt is a little on the corse side and can leak a bit on boost..but having said that its easily cured by wrapping PTFE tape on the thread to seal the bolt into the brass body. Could be your problem mate not substaining boost and also easliy checked by taking the inlet side off and feeding a bar of pressure from a compresser with soapy water on the valve body and check for bubbles between the nut and washer/body.
  7.:rofl::rofl: thats the one Steve.
  8. We did pull one code: cam sensor, however do not know how old the code is appears to have a new one fitted so we cleared the code and tried a restart again and came back code free. it might not throw another cam sensor code until you have a complete fresh start Jeff...bad cam sensor might give the ecu the illusion of a slipped belt even when mechanicly its still in timed postion.
  9. yep i have the very same in my car..great piece of kit Noel:cool3:
  10. What a perfect way of forming a collection of words in which every single word is complete common sence and forms a true picture of the insanity of this stupid taxing system...have some rep Richard:wink:
  11. but what iff we the normal hard working tax paying law abiding joe public want to own a nice big car as a reward for our hard graft...that road tax figure for this 1 car is legalised theft and just another way of propping up the govements failings in spending money stupidly. This argument of "iff you dont like it buy a small car" smells of a person who has,nt got a Q7:tongue:
  12. Iff the motors breathing right as in crankcase vent/PCV valves ect there should be zero oil coming out the top of dipstick tube...and deffo not enough to cause an oil leak.
  13. Manual boost controler..not the bleed off type but a preset spring and ball. Holds the set boost with no spikes and no bleeding off, great piece of kit.
  14. the wife should never know and iff she does find out tell her it cost 75% cheaper than it actually did....Its like the kid who is not ever allowed biscuts so he says to him mam "mam can i have 10 biscuts please?" No!!! she screams you cant have 10,you can only have 2:D Result!!!!
  15. as soon as it stops raining mate:huh:
  16. Barry who very sadly passed away:(
  17. So many options lads ime like a rat in a mop bucket R888 V TR1,s atm....In all fairness ime guilty of always running a tad hard on my tires 34 rear and 32 psi fronts...might try 30 on each corner.I used to run on the low side once on a XJS jag and the rears used to creep around the rim and end up leaking:eek:
  18. ive always had blue,,infact i invented the colour blue....nothing getting polished under my hood matey,i already have OCD over far to many things in my life and dont need more:wink:
  19. I was going to mention using plasticine to get your thickness right then easily removed but it looks like you have cracked it mate (excuse the pun)..well done:thumbup1:
  20.:rofl: no one mentioned 275,s up front..
  21. Have the Toyo,s up front Rich (new)..i also like a matching set but tbh i was,nt really impressed with my last rear set of T1R,s,great in the dry but got a little twitchy when the roads were a little dampish.Removing my new fronts is not really an option at this present time to make a matching set. Will have a look at your choice you have posted.Steves choice compared well but only have 58% who would buy again:confused1: http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Pirelli/PZero-Rosso.htm
  22. WTF you on about...read the thread with your jam jars on:slap:
  23. Have new up there atm...want to try limit the drifting effect when you press the happy pedal Steve as right now i have about 6mm left and ime spinning up in 3rd..looks great to the corsa brigade but not a good future outlook:lol:
  24. I need a pair of rears (275/18)...i normaly buy the Toyo T1R,s but as i only do about 2K miles a year ime after something with a softer compound (sticky) for the coming year. Can anyone give any advice as to whats out there that suits my needs:)
