  1. top of dash in red = nasty. Leather on the dash can be good though, touslecoq has a black leather dash and its real nice imo.
  2. he split up with ingrid and moved out, his new gaff doesnt have an internet connection yet.
  3. Jesus thats a dear bonner, get what you pay for though :)
  4. psu and hdd can go in the oil too, so long as the hdd is a sealed unit anyway. Obviously shoving 240VAC into the oil makes things much more dangerous. And mike, if you want a quiet water pump then use an eheim, my 1048 is completely inaudible, unless of course you shove your ear right up to it.
  5. looks like a near stock engine bay to me just with a really 'enhanced' photo to make it look good.
  6. good luck with this. One thing though, you might want to put some contact details on there ;)
  7. 246mph with a stock body, thats pretty amazing :D
  8. I guess that wins by a small margin but at least that whole car is extreme to match. Out of interest what event was that taken at? Must have been in '04 I guess 'cos ChrisC's car is there, but I see john newcomb's old car which I havent seen since '03 when he sold it
  9. and its pearl white so naturally its fast ;) More seriously, looks like he has some big high profile tyres on the back no doubt with low pressure, and looks like real squishy suspension set up for drag.
  10. Do what he said. But to me it sounds like the base idle is set too low on the control valve. Theres a screw on the side near the battery, adjust this to increase it. And shelton, the reaon for that is that when the a/c is on the auxilliary air valve is opened to increase rpm slightly and compensate for the drag of the compressor. If your car wont idle properly with the a/c turned off then there is something wrong with the idle control. Do as above and that should cure it.
  11. I'd say you'll have a hard time with it. If I was going to do it, i'd fit the wire brush attachment to the drill and have a go at it with that.
  12. Dont breath it in and I guess itwould be fine. However be aware that if its the origonal R12 refrigerant then it contains some seriously nasty CFC's which are very bad for the environment.
  13. If AOL can give you 2mb, than anyone can mate, BT decide what speed your line can handle, not the ISP.
  14. Looks nice. But for the love of god, take a step back so we can see the whole car ;) The wheels look nice, but can only see a little bit of one of them :p
  15. the metal clips are on the back of the plastic strip. Mine was loose as hell so i stuck it on with prit pads. Only problem now is that its stuck on so well I think i'll have to break it to get it off again.
  16. stop kidding yourself
  17. hard to say seeing as i've met just about everyone off here many times. The only one who springs to mind is pk1, i'd like to meet him and take a look at his lovely yellow swb.
  18. being pedantic, i'd say its not a Mcpherson strut, the zed has all round multi-link suspension, the first road car to have this. Of course, I could be wrong, I dont claim to be an expert in this area.
  19. possible, but VERY uncomfortable for the rear passenger and whoever is in front will have to be squoze up against the dash.
  20. Supra no doubt about it, failing that an RX7.
  21. agreed, i might even add 'removal of z emblem' to my list of things to do as i think it clutters the front up a bit.
  22. could be useful on my rad, it gets a bit dusty :p
