  1. ok, well as I say ChrisC might have something for you, allthough I believe he is quite busy these days so dont expect a speedy response :p
  2. ChrisC might be able to help you out here. p.s. was it you who asked last week?
  3. Anyone see this last night, quite a nice white zed cruised past the camera at the end of the show. However it was at a 'cruise' with a load of nova's and paxo's though :(
  4. hehe thats cool, I know the feeling when the car starts and runs properly! :)
  5. yeah ive had the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL's before, turned out it was the RAM.
  6. lol yeah go for linux if you have a good knowledge of computers, but ALL of your knowledge of windows will be irrelevant. But one thing about linux is once you set it up it wont let you down, ive had a machine running redhat 8 for a few months now and its never crashed. As a desktop OS though windows really does take the crown, ive tried all of the window managers for X windows and none of them are anywhere near windows for ease of use. One thing you will find is there isnt a web browser for linux that will display a web page properly, the text will always be too small or too big or something. Ive heard a lot of things about mac's latest offering being EXCELLENT though, but then you have to buy a mac to use it ;) Windows is a bit of a joke though, we have a NT4 network at school with about 100 stations and every day you go in the PC you boot up is broken, they seem to have a tendency to screw up some dll files required to boot, the NTFS drivers, and quite often they totally drop the network connection and run as a standalone, rediculous things. The NT4 servers arent much better either, they use microsoft proxy with this stupid igear cgi filtering thing and thats forever crashing. I run squid on my linux system and its always run spot on and ive not even thought about doing anything to it since i configured it, its just so reliable theres no need to maintain it. Anyway, enough of M$ flaming ;) I guess our zeds are bit like microsoft, breaking down randomly and costing a lot of money ;)
  7. I reckon the vette's are a stunning looking car, and from the sounds of it they aren't short of a bit of poke either.. :D Viper is AWESOME to look at though, but ive seen the interior on one and to say its aweful it an understatement!
  8. im pretty sure the oil companies can do a LOT better. One of my dads mates works in truck/bus transmissions. Anyway not so long back they had a sample of a new engine (i forget who it was made by), but anyway this engine had oil which lasted a lifetime, actually impossible to change the oil in it. They reckoned this would last perfectly for the average lifetime of a truck engine which i guess is quite some miles.. Was also told it will not be released in the forseable future as it would kill the oil market dead. I can;t prove it works to you, but there's no reason i can see for him to lie about it...
  9. deffinatly sounds like youve got a fault somewhere. If you go over to http://www.twinturbo.net and hit the tech section there will be a tech to show you how to do it. It is easy as pie to do it.
  10. done an autobox diag. Noticed the power light flashing randomly at all?
  11. ok so to work out a misfire going from simple to hard do the following remove each coilpack connector in turn (they will probably break but dont worry about it ;)) you will get to one where you pull it and the revs dont drop, this is where you need to concentrate. Clean up the coilpack connector (easy), clean up the injector connector (somewhat harder :p). If that doesnt work then fetch the PTU out and clean up the conectors on that, if that fails then try changing the plug, if that still doesnt work then you might have a wiring problem which will be a nightmare ;) I can't see how a TPS couldcause a misfire, and have you reset the ECU? You never know, it might just work :p
  12. blowdog is selling his gtr?
  13. ok, its just he hasnt got to fetch the floor apart to do an autobox diag so I thought I would make his life that little bit easier because im such a nice person :p ;)
  14. web cache logs are killed dead by SSL anonsurf ;) There will be no trace of you ever being on any sites, perfect :p
  15. TPS fault will show on an autobox diag, sounds like this might be the problem with the autbox diag. It really is a doddle to do the autobox diag, instructions are on twinturbo.net.
  16. the starter on ours does that sometimes, makes an aweful grinding noise, yesterday it made a different noise, it was cranking the engine nicely then BANG, I thought  , but tried it again and started a treat

deffinatly be there, and Midlands does seem like a good place :D
  18. iirc ChrisC has one for sale, try him...
  19. thanks, got it off in the end with a bit of brute force, unfortunatly thats the same thing which broke the speedo :(
  20. Ive got a slight problem with removing the cluster. Ive removed all of the dash around it and all the necessaries and all I need to do now is remove the connectors from it. But... when everything is removed theres a connector on either side of the cluster, on the top, for the warning light connector... Now how do you remove this? If I could remove this it would be no problem to remove the others, only these 2 have no slack on the cable and I cant get behind it very easily. Thanks in anticipation Clarkey
  21. are GATSO shots processed digitally? I was under the impression they were all processed manually, and only the SPECS camera's were automatic. If thats right then it wouldnt be posible for it to be processed manually because it would take the first shot and not be able to understand it, then it wouldnt know what to look for the next time. Would be a waste of time searching for matches manually IMO but tbh I wouldnt put it past the UK's police force:rolleyes:
  22. ok whatever, I know im right.... and no offence, but your english sucks ;)
  23. sounds good, i'd be up for a bit of show :)
