  1. whats this for?
  2. its huge, might wanna shrink it down a bit there eh ;) :p
  3. not what ive been told by mac 1 and andy duff ;)
  4. well its about 13.5psi the bar from the top sounds about right. You have to remember these gauges suck hard ;). Anywhere around the top shows you have good boost, in the middle and one turbo is out, off the scale and ur over stock :p
  5. loads of people here have it, people who have it swear by it, say they dont know how they drove the car without it etc... You certainly can fit it to auto's, but I can't see the launch control being of much use on oen though.
  6. cool, so you got more pics then? Car looks gorgeous in the pic in your sig :)
  7. yeah thats right, the -7 to +7 is in 100mmHg. For some reason they use this in japan, I always thought they used bar's but still, this can be converted to near enough -14 to +14 psi.
  8. nope, every car ive ever been in does this ;) Don't know what you;re worrying about anyway, even if you could see the clock it would be wrong cos the clocks they put in these things are so crap :D

Hmm, agreed with AndyP here, automatic turbo timers should really work from an oil temp. reading from the oil out from the turbos, dont see quite why nobody makes something like that cos it would actually be reliable. Don't have a turbo timer though so can't tell you how long it should be on for, id go for 60 seconds though.
  10. its 5.5-5.7 m8, i think you'll find that 7.5 is for the N/A
  11. 6310 is a nice phone, reliable, functional, and not stuffed with cr@p like colour screens, polyphonic tones and whatever.
  12. pull the phone apart and remove the battery, not a good idea on a brand new phone as opening the case voids the warranty. Id take it back and get them to sort it out.
  13. fixed it, was a problem with the relay, i gave it a tap and now its working fine  :D
  14. pretty sure hes been smoking something ;) the det sensor can be smashed to hell and it would not cause the mixture to be out. Id say its almost deffinatly an O2 sensor or both of them. Have you done a normal ECU diag? Does it get code 34? Never heard of air leaks in the intake manifold either  If its missing then you might have a problem with the PTU, try cleaning out every connector int he engine bay with electircal contact cleaner, they can be a real problem sometimes. You can change the intake manifold gaskets with the engine in, but it will cost a fortune, removing the plenum means all new EGR tubing and all that. Exhaust manifolds would be very difficult to impossible to do with the engine in.
  15. ill go for a boost gauge as an example. a mechanical gauge has a vacuum pipe coming into the car and into the back of the gauge and it moves the needle mechanically. An electrical gauge will have a pressure sensor somewhere in the engine bay and will just give an electrical signal to the gauge which will work my electromagnets or by a stepper motor. Autometer gauges are good, MAC 1 has them If you want a really accurate one get the blitz electrical ones, very expensive but good, iirc 300z has these. You can probably fit them yourself too
  16. Finally put the dash back together today, was testing out all the buttons etc.. Theres a problem with the fog lights. I press the button and sometimes the lights only come on very dim, like so dim when i put the sidelights on it gets brighter ;) Bout half the time they come on normal, the rest they come on dim. Likely to be a problem with the switch or the relay? Anyone else had this problem? CheerZ :)
  17. and their web page is http://www.jasma.org
  18. found a pic of them,
  19. Ah **** one m8, gutted for you :( Oh well, look on the bright side, 99 spec front :D

    lol :D
  21. we drove ours back from southampton without plates and allthough it attracted a HELL of a lot of attention, we didnt get pulled, we did have trade plates though, not exactly on display very well though. I doubt you will get pulled, and if you do then just show them the docs to show you got cleared from the docks just a couple of hours ago and you are taking the car home, I can't see them arguing tbh.
  22. thats the one! :)
  23. iirc these are the ones on our car, the sound deadening material collasped in them, the passenger side one seems to have ejected the whole lot out the back, drivers side one just has a mess in it though, sounds allright though :)
