i bought a liteon 52x24x52 for 45 quid the other week, good drive, only thing is if you burn audio cd's faster than about 12x then the outside tracks skip when you play it back :(

was it an N/A? Ive seen a silver N/A around here last summer, driver is a miserable b@stard, we drove past in our zed, beeped and waved and he didnt even look.

its an engine out job m8, very expensive, if it isnt smoking badly i'd leave it tbh.

yeah that happens on ours, it seems pretty wierd, set the cruise on a motorway and the second it gets to a hill it shifts down, soon as it gets flat again it shifts back up. Anyone explain why the hell it does that?

i would have thought if it was a turbo problem then it would be worst when you give it some welly, ill leave this one to the experts :p

you can get this razo one: for about 80-90 quid iirc. Very nice it is too, the o/d button is rather fiddly though :(

that would be compltetely pointless, the manifold pressure is balanced via the balance bar so the 2 readins would ALWAYS be exactly the same, you could always block the balance bar but i would deffinatly not recommend it.

second episode on bbc 3, shortly after when they run out of the hospital with the kid and go near the road, just caught the rear lights, z32 rear lights are unmistakable. Also I could have sworn near the end in one of the little screens there was a silver 350z.

our car has dark tints in the back and you can still see the internal stickers, allbeit only in bright sunlight ;)

ouch, 5500 is a bit much, im presuming it was a private sale? If it was id take it back and say a few chosen words to the seller. I suppose Jeff is right in saying it might not be a turbo, take a look and pray for the best :(

unfortunatly, a turbo swap on a zed is a missive job, requires removing the engine, and will cost a small fortune, as a ballpark figure id say 1000 quid, other people will be able to tell you better. If I were you, i'd try to shift it on and buy a good one. Mind me asking how much you paid for it?

oh dear, get the wallet out! That means one of your turbo's has gone byebye. Its reading the inlet manifold pressure (boost gauge), its notoriously inaccurate, and should move to almost the end of the scale on the right when on boost (full throttle).

more than likely the carb cleaner (or whatever you used) burning off. Strange though when I did the TB's it pushed out loads of really black smokefor only a few seconds. Take it out for a blast and if its still doing it then start to worry ;)

Yes it is normal for them to tap when cold started, but only for a second or two, if it doesnt stop then you have a problem. Whats the oil like? Last change? Good level? Good Pressure?
