might have to give the blue-tac a go, seems this is a problem on every single zed out there :p but i wouldnt go for double sided tape because you need to remove it to get the console off to get at the stereo, and as mac says, you will break it.

put some redlione MT90 gear oil in it, i've for no experience of it but ive heard it works wonders for the box

ermm, the R32 GTR 2.6 Litre straight 6 cylinder layout 24 Valve Twin Cam. This is per bank (side of the engine) so in total the car is a 48 Valve Quad Cam. WTF is this guy been smoking!?

I would keep it on, it may be better while your moving, but the fan doesnt do much when moving anyway, when your stopped it will almost certainly lead to much worse airflow through the rad.
