I could be up for this but would be in the z31 because i put the z32 away in the lock up out of my sight because I can't be bothered fixing it!
  2. Snap, had a fiesta that only blew hot and it was because previous owner had bypassed it already. 5 min job to sort, I just used an ebay one and never had any other issues during the couple of years I had it.
  3. Cheers guys, I'll get some fresh pics up tomorrow or over weekend when I get her new shoes on, picked up some mint originals which should sort out the stance. You'll have seen her before when I've posted up, had her 6 years but been tucked away for the past 2 as my attention turned to the z32.
  4. If only the neighbours would cut the bloody hedge
  5. At the weekend the lockup looked like this Now it looks like this After 2 years tucked away I've decided to use the z31 again and have put the z32 away for a while. Slightly sticky throttle and the brakes need ran in to remove surface rust but apart from that she seems in good health. Had a service, think brake and ps fluid could do with being flushed too, one coolant hose was brittle and has been replaced but apart from that i think its good to go. :thumbup1:
  6. No idea if its true or not, just remember reading a thread about it, not sure if it was on here or another zed site...it may have been that they just hadn't realised that the seat could go up and down and their UK one happened to be sitting at a lower setting and they came to a false conclusion but entertaining thought all the same
  7. There was a thread a while ago about the difference between import v UK seats, I know that's not exactly what you are asking but it is related because the conclusion was that import seats sit higher (Japanese market average height being shorter than UK/European market) and was spotted by a member who thought he was imagining it after getting a new zed that was an import and felt his head was closer to the roof than his old UK spec one...or vice versa.
  8. No I didn't bother lacquering them mate, been on the car a year now and still look good...admittedly not seen much action on the road over the past year though
  9. I used heat resistant paint from halfords, one wee tin was enough to give a couple of coats
  10. "Every time your customers make a phone call, switch on a light, turn on the heating, or go online... you could be getting paid. And you don't just earn money from your personal customers. As an ID you can introduce other Distributors to this business and earn commission on what their customers spend too. As they follow your example and build their own successful business, you can gain promotion and earn an increasing share in their success. We call this the power of duplication." I call that a pyramid scheme :surrender:
  11. Depends on the contract, government guidance here https://www.gov.uk/employer-relocation-your-rights
  12. If you have access to compressed air then just put a block of wood in the caliper so the pistons dont clatter off each other when you give it a blast of air. When painting them I found it easier to not be to fussy about getting paint on the nissan bit and just give it a quick file afterwards

  14. Maybe they just didn't have them listed but I purchased full set from them about a year and a half ago.
  15. BigRed sell kits on ebay. I wasn't delighted with the quality of some of the parts (rubber seals were OK but an original wire clip was replaced with a plastic one so just used original wire bits) and they said they would look to upgrade them in future, not sure if they have or not.
  16. No....I'll join you steams  wouldn't say know if it was a gift right enough  Reminds me of a scimitar lol
  17. Bouncy rear end, a new set will firm things up no end regardless of wheather you go with rubber or poly for replacements. That along with your tension rods and a hicas lock out kit and it should handle as intended. If you start putting aftermarket arms on then you'll get the bug and end up spending a fortune...but it does look luuurvly
  18. Subframe bushes are the big ones you are pointing at leaking. Get rid of the hicas and get a lockout kit fitted regardless of any play. At the front I would hazard a guess at your tension rod bushes being shot which would cause issues under braking and cause a snaking feeling...chances are al your bushes are probably pretty worn and could do with replacement with standard or polybushes - decide if you are going to use any aftermarket arms though as this will reduce the number of bushes required.
  19. I'm still here in Glasgow, zed aint moved since that day I brought it through to yours Lee to hook up to consultz :crying: got frustrated with it and haven't found the motivation to get to the bottom of it. May be going down to Jeff's but just got word of some other financial commitments coming up soon so it may have to wait
  20. Took this as a swap today, from what I can see there doesn't seem to be many of them around. Just had it out for a couple of hours and it holds the road really well and really shifts. Around 270 bhp
  21. Many thanks Jeff I appreciate you must be snowed under, if it helps dig the emails out they were sent on 12th and 18th May. Had car off the road for timing belt, service, suspension, exhaust and brakes last summer and really want to get use of it this year and would prefer it was properly setup by yourselves...hopefully you don't discover any surprises anything like that in this thread! :sweatdrop: Cheers
  22. Jeff, sorry to hijack an unrelated thread...I've emailed zedworld@btconnect.com twice this month looking for a quote for some work and have had no response, I know you're busy (I saw the pic you posted of the garage full of zeds being tucked in for the night) but I, like most, would love to have the zed on the road for the summer. Any chance of having a look for me please and pinging me back when you get a chance? Email address it was sent from start with youngross@ Thanks mate.
  23. Sorry to hear that mate, although on the bright side for you - if it had sold already and this happened to the new owner on the way home or the next day then you'd have had a very unhappy chappy at your door demanding their money back
  24. Don't like that style for a zed, they have a VERY weak offset considering they are supposed to be works and would require pretty big spacers to look right on any car
  25. Yes its a proper pain in the ass, Vodkashots had a thread up recently about the trouble he had. Mine was done in a garage and it took a couple of days as they waited for some heavy duty drill bits to arrive to be able to drill out the troublesome broken one. With the constant heating and cooling over the years they become very brittle.
