Went to view several Zeds today....did a total of 10 hours driving :eek: ....Wife moaning the whole time....but....I came home with my First Zed !! :D :D :D 92 Black Manual Import, 50k The thing is absultely filthy, the guy had'nt washed it since it came of the ship from Japan. So Much dirt, inside and out, he probably paid extra to declare it all ! I have a few issues with it, but I'll be asking questions tomorrow. Totally thrilled, enjoyed the long drive home(despite 3 hours of listening to a bunch of nobodies on MW Radio stations, as it still had Jap stereo in), will spend most of the day tomorrow cleaning it :duffer: pics added below

Interestingly, I viewed a Zed for sale today that had a front splitter fitted to the standard bumper. Looked quite good, but unfortunatly the owner had no idea of the make of it or where it can be sourced...so not very helpfull :confused:

They replace existing cloth on seats, and the tweed panels. from what I have read they are a quite fiddly to fit, but the quality is top notch and well worth it. Quite a few members have fitted them, have a search for examples.

Shop around different insurance companies....you'll find with some insurance companies the difference is very small in cost for Uk versus Import. Do a forum search on Insurance, to get the best companies

Japenese cars are setup for 100 octane fuel, which they have over there...and we dont. :( The best we have is : 98 Octane - Shell Optimax. 97 Octane - BP Ultimate and Super Unleaded(??) 95 Octane - Regular Unleaded (never use) Too low an octane fuel will result in pinking, and eventual engine damage. I think most Zed owners use Shell Optimax whenever possible. Something like the JWT Chip is remapped for use with UK Fuels.

Can't agree more, Since the majority of my family live in Newbury, and it was also due to travel via Taunton, near where I live......its frightening to think that any number of friends and family could (and luckily were not) of been on that train. Its shame he did die...he did'nt get to see the results of his actions !

Crikey its tiny (dont hear that often ;)) - I thought about putting an xbox in the car, but did'nt fancy towing a trailor for it. You'll have to search your DVD cases when you lose it, in case you slipped it inside by mistake.
