  1. yeh, lol, that was funny. Although the Zed would pull a lot stronger than the FQ in that scenario. It has a lot more torque/power off-boost than the little 2 litre lump, and two smaller turbos, rather than 1 massive one, means boost would probably come on sooner.
  2. its the only one....except for the superior and marginally faster Bmw Alpina B10-biturbo ;) ;)
  3. lol...yes..was just about to post on here to find out if that was you. I was'nt sure what it was behind me, thought I would have a play anyway ;) ....but 225 Jap make rears dont help with traction...and the missus would'nt let me give chase :nono: LOL The Rex was looking very nice as you passed !
  4. and the Bmw e34 B10-BiTurbo (based on my other car - Bmw 535i) was faster and superior in every way to the Lotus Carlton anyway...but again not strictly a Production car in, although you could buy them from Bmw Dealers.
  5. I had heard rumous of recent problems....but ended up purchasing from these guys intead: http://www.directcircuit.com/ He is also supposed to be selling Titanium keys soon ! :hyper:
  6. Yes and No....how many revs, and wether you do a Clutch drop or Clutch slip depends on the car and other factors (and how badly your willing to destroy your box in order to get the best possible time  )...but launching a 4wd to get its stated best 0-60 times is very different to how you launch a FWD/RWD car, and most 4wd owners, are previous FWD car drivers. :slap:
  7. at low speeds.....it does'nt have the legs to keep with a zed at high speeds though. ..and unless they know how to launch a 4WD properly(ie...loads and loads of revs, and drop the clutch) they wont get anything like the 0-60 time they are supposed to get.

Yep, echo the above. Bought some this morning. Standard Twin filament Bulbs available in Petrol stations and Halfords..etc All cars with integrated Brake and Rear light bulbs use them. 12v 21/5w
  9. It till be on again 8pm tomorrow. Sky Men and Motors channel.
  10. ..coz its about the Supra  Kirbz, what are you planning to get once the Supra is sold then ?
  11. "THE Japanese supercar of the early 90's" "The first affordable Supercar" "Won the hearts of car enthusiasts, world over" "Where as Previous Japanese sports cars could keep up with their exotic couterparts, the 300zx also looked as good as the best of them"
  12. :D :D Thought it was a very good review...except for the last comment about modifiers sticking MDF to the bonnet

I expect the seller is aiming it at Lamborgini style kit cars. ..wonder how much a Lamborgini dealer charges for the lights...when they are available from Nissan dealer too.
  14. I used this guide : http://www.aus300zxclub.com/tech/taillight/taillight.htm and I purchased the Clear lense material from Ebay.com (The US site). Cost me about £30-£40 Bargain! :hyper:
  15. According to 300zx - Enthusiasts Companion book : Kerb Weight (Twin Turbo models) SWB - 3,414 Ibs (1548 kg) LWB Manual - 3,495 Ibs (1585 kg) LWB Auto - 3,516 Ibs (1594 kg) Does'nt mention a difference for T-top and Slicktop though.
  16. Thought I would try out the DIY 99-spec style rear lights. Did the whole putting them in the oven to heat them up for seperating..... hands are now burned and sore, but got there in the end. That Black tar stuff gets everywhere ! Ended up taking about 4 hours total in the end :( , as had loads of problems seperating them, and then getting them back together again. Pleased with it, massive improvement over the orange lenses. :) Pics below.
  17. Birthday - Not sure, it no longer lets you edit your Profile, as it complains about an error in the birthday section (which is'nt there). Paypal - It transfers the money from your account to PayPal. Then Paypal send the money to the other user. All Automatically.
  18. 350z and 240z so far though :D
  19. Me thinks were not going to find the Zed in the list becuase..... with everycar they show, you get short interviews with current owners, and footage of the owners car.... ...and if your going to do the same for the zed, I expect they would of contacted 300zx.co.uk :(
  20. Thanks. Pity the zed statistics are all wrong though. :(
  21. Just had a search now. Searching for Nissan 300zx any age, any mileage, so this will cover the much cheaper Z31 too, and will Include NA and TT. There are very few Zeds over 1993 in the Uk(inc imports) £2k-£3k = 13 £3k-£4k = 31 £4k-£5k = 36 £5k-£6k = 15 £6k-£7k = 8 Majorty are £4-5k It probably does'nt help that you can get a 1 year old Nissan 350Z for £15k
  22. I bought my TT a few weeks back, and when I was looking on Autotrader within a 200 mile range prices were between £3500 - £6000.
  23. I would ring around other insuranace companies. A lot of the mainstream insurers are'nt really geared up for young drives with High performance cars. Do a search on here insurance, and check out some of those recomended.
  24. Its voted by the public though.
