Goodbye Tweed, Hello Leather...Mmmmm
Having Purchased some Replacement Leather Seats, and ditching my Tweed ones, I started on replacing the Tweed Panels with Leather-look Black Vinyl. From this : :hurl: To This :  and from these : :hurl: to this : (one done, minus the door opening lever bit) One more to go....then I got to fit it all back in. Panels were easy, once u get a hang of dealing with the curves, but took a long time....door much harder, and a real pain in the a**e to do. Probably took about 6 hours to do the panels in total, and about 2 hours for the drivers door. 3 Metres of Material and Brush on Evo-stick Impact Instant contact adhesive (not the solvent -free one, thats crap). Total cost, about £35 :duffer:

99 Spec front number plates?????
I can recomend fancyplates.com too. Was impressed with them. They can make and design and size, without the need to provide ID and follow the strict legal procedures, as they sell them as show plates only. p.s Motorbike shop no good for a Front plate surely, since Bikes only wear rears (yellow)

Dartmoor Run
sorry I missed this one, I never saw this post. A lot of our south west meets seem to be to the North of Bristol. Which is a shame as were missing out on the larger part - South Somerset, Devon and Cornwall, but its such a large area to cover.

CC Mudflaps & Rear Lip spoilers?WHERE?
I guess u mean a rear bumper splitter. I think stillen do them. http://www.stillen.com/Sportscars_detail.asp?cat=3&subcat=149&Brand=&id=22878&page=1 (There are various other versions on that website) As for mud flaps, these were Standard fitment but most have been removed, try one of the breakers in the Traders section.

Can i convert mine back
Mph is needed for SVA test, but not the Mot. Marcus, you'd be better off trying to get hold of a set of UK clocks if your worried about the speedo conversion. If u pull the clocks out, u will see the convertor at the back.

0-60 in 7 secs for a TT UK Auto?
Im pretty sure the manual is a couple of tenths slower to 60mph....and then the auto is a couple of tenths quicker to 100mph. ...and I've seen as good as 5.2 secs tested, for a Manual UK TT in a magazine review somewhere. not that 0-60 really means anything, and there are so many other factors that can affect it each time. 7.0 secs, would that be in reverse gear though ?

BMW 850i
Thats the 840i, the 850i V12 is 300bhp - still crap, its an old skool v12, but there were 326bhp and 380bhp versions (ci and csi) There generally regarded as one of the lesser Bmw's. It never lived up to the 6 series and sales were poor. A Decent Bmw : :D For Sale ;)

what were they thinking

Any recommended Vodafone mobile companies?
The Network your on does'nt matter anymore for cross network savings, since they all offer loads of free cross network minutes. The main difference between networks is the packages they are offering and the line rental. I've been with o2 for about 5 years now, never had to cal them except to add International calling to my account and that was free. They also offer online Customer services via website with chat, and thats free too.

Signature Help!!!!
Picture must be hosted somewhere...ideal place is your rides section : http://rides.300zx.co.uk/ Can add pics by clicking on the "edit your ride details" link in top right. you then use [ img ]image url[/ img ] (remove spaces in the IMG tags for it to work). Image url is the path of the newly hosted image. Carefull with the size of the picture, you want it to download quickly and obviously not take up too much space. Avatars can be hosted or uploaded via the Avatar tool in your profile.

Phew. Tidlewave
My Wifes best friend is celebrating xmas in Sri-lanka with her family.....we've been very worried, unable to get in contact with her, until 10 mins ago, when she just called to say she just landed back in the UK. She was too tired and stressed to talk, but thankfully she and her family are safe. There is a number to call for those that have family and friends out there (check BBC website). Unfortunatly so many people are stranded and most people have lost Identification and have problems getting hold of authorities.

new family car required
I'd go for the A4 2.8Q. The passat is the less sporty, lower image version, but very nice also (ran an A4 and a Passat as company cars for over a year). (its 4motion 4wd is also not as good as the A4's) 2.8 V6 is silky smooth and the quattro system is superb. The 1.8T however is very tunable, but lacks the smoothness of the V6. ...but 1.8T is a lot better on the Fuel than the 2.8 which you wont get more than 28mpg out of.
