  1. Exactly ! This is what happened last time she washed my zed :
  2. Additional : when writing this post I just burnt my dinner !
  3. Every get those times where you do something and go out your way only for something else to happen ! Well it's one of those days for me ! Started off yesterday after giving my TT a good wash then I noticed that my front reg plate was all washed out looking and half of the numbers were washed out or faded away. First thought was the wife (always blame the wife first, lol) had used the jeti at home and washed the reg plate which is powerfull enough to strip paint but what actually happened is some wise ass peeled of the laminate and took half the letters with it when they did. You can see what I mean in this pic ! I don't really know how long I've been driving about like this so I didn't want to risk getting caught by traffic cops so I moved the zed off the street into the morisons car park across the road for now then phoned around the local garages to see who does a new reg plate and get it done today! Turns out nobody in Ayrshire where I stay had the square style reg spates to make up and halfords told me about a week to get one done so I told them where to go. Finally after an hour of phoning every garage I found one in Kilmarnock which is a good 10 miles away. Not risking getting caught I left the zed at home and drove the wife's VW Bug and picked up the plate and drove home again to fit the new plate. After getting it on I drove back to work in the zed and for some reason decided to park back in the same spot at morisons only to arrive into the car park with a thud and then what I could only describe as a moment of shear pant browning event and I put the breaks on and done a walk about to see what I could see. Well bad luck it seems came quickly as my rear drivers side was flat as a pancake ! On the good side I've just picked up a set of 19's at a great price a few days ago which haven't arrived but bad luck calls in again as I've no money to get new tyres or get them done up this month so I'm now zed less for a month. So trying not to get caught by traffic cops to save money ended up going to cost me money getting this fixed ! What dumb luck and a complete pain in the ass !
  4. That's how my series 4 vac system is hooked up ! I'm going by that and seems to work, lol
  5. The one in the picture should connect to the fuel pressure regulator and the one that's a bit forward from it goes down towards the front of the car and connects to recircs as far as I know!
  6. Paisley Freight !
  7. I wouldn't end this just yet as its a great feature to add and surely more people put there names down ! Just think we should bump it more frequently so that it's not lost among the other threads that are currently going.
  8. Can't pm him as his subs have expired !!
  9. 2 zeds, lol
  10. Could always tell how close they were roughly by turning back the rf gain !
  11. Can be done in the right weather conditions although not likely a mag mount, lol years ago i used to have a hi gain silver rod which was on a 20' scaffi pole on the third floor nearly of my roof. This was all before the internet kicked off but when the effect of weather happened which we called skip you could talk to folks on the other side of the world nearly. But furthest i got was sweden and germany.
  12. Isn't petrol prices to bloody high at the moment !! dont be putting any bright ideas like that publicly incase they do !
  13. ive got a few cb radios that are getting installed in the zed for road trips and the display isnt any more disctracting than a guage.

  15. Heres what the harness going to the ignition barrel looks like; plug side goes straight into the barrel
  16. Trying to install a Toad alarm in my 91 NA and the wiring is different to my 96 TT which to me in comparison was a snitch to install. Pain in the ass is the word, So far ive figured this : White - Constant 12V Black (white stripe) - Ignition Black (red stripe) - ??? Blue - Accesory 12V Black (yellow stripe) - ??? Can anyone identify the other two ?
  17. Yours is 000771 Full List can be found here; although not sure how upto date it is ! http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?85601-Membership-number-amp-login-name-list
  18. Same as mine, being an import that is! It's purely a downhill mtb with full suspension. It was imported from Canada for Jack Reading who is sponsored by Ellsworth and is a UK downhill champion. I bought the frame off him last year for a tidy sum and slowly have been building it backup to near race spec. To import my frame compete from Ellesworth in Canada costs just over $2500 for the basic setup so i consider myself very lucky to get it and it's more like a trophy as it sits in my living room gleaming with new parts! It's seen some serious dirt in the competitions Jack put it through but it's like new condition.
  19. The only thing you need to prepare yourself for is if your intending to have three at the bottom then you need to dismantle the silver ring to make it all fit! The diameter of the gauge with the chromed ring won't let you fit all three together!
  20. I've got 6 of the drift gauges installed in my zed and there cool as folk !
  21. Yip, If you can do one of your detailed autopsy's we can all guess how much oil wasn't in the auto box !:whistling:
  22. I know I guy who can fix it if you want his number !!
  23. Hi Guys, Sorry to hear you've had issues, not naming names or anything i would give them the benifit of the doubt if its who i think it is. Sourcing parts can be a tricky procedure especially if dealing with foreign dealers. In the end its your money and you have a right to refund if goods havn't passed hands as such. I dont want this thread to turn into a debate of good vs bad traders so if you have an issue with one of the subscribed Traders then can you please contact Groover by PM or by email. For now i'm going to lock this thread untill then untill we know more details. Again please PM a committee member with more info. Cheers Lee
