  1. http://www.cpltraining.co.uk/training/licensing/ncplh.aspx?gclid=CMz1y6LWsLICFeXMtAodIXkASA you need to get trained, and book in to see your local council to be come licenced, once licenced with the relevant documentation, depending on if the pub is run by a brewery or private, you need to approch them and ask to be land lord.
  2. pete fancy doing my 19's lol looking good there bud very impressed.
  3. im glad its now out in the open, i thought id have to keep that secreat for ages LOL she looks good now and nice to see it on the road again, didnt think the damage looked that bad, if my blue one didn't have the sill to repair and the blown HG id think about putting it back on the road.
  4. You are trying to set a 300zx up with no timing light? and by the sounds of it no consults? and you are wondering why it sounds like a bag of bones and doesnt idle correctly? Go spend some cash and get a timing light and if you cant get data scan / scan tech nissan or conzults, at least use a multi meter as you are going to need that to set the TPS. adjust the timing (CAS using timing light), You cant set the idle with out setting the TPS, you need to know if your TPS is at 0.44v (volt meter), once the TPS is set using the volt meter, you should then adjust the idle. the car is going to pop and and miss if all that is screwed up.
  5. Well i started doing it, then jeff (not jeffTT lol) said he would do it but kept buggering off, groover did it at one point and so did rata2ie. We had a marquee twice the size of that last year, but no one wanted to be in it, the good thing about the small one, was we could open the sides or close them, the biggest problem was the round tables but we didnt really get a choice in that, it was either them or nothing. and yes the burgers were awesome. im not sure if it was "felt awkward" about cooking, it was more like, no one wanted to start just incase they got roped into cooking for others, we didnt have the same problem last year, people just went for it lol
  6. ewww. Well so far, im liking the F1 simulator, could charge £2 a go for other club stand members, to help cover the cost depending on what that is, i shall ring and find out tomorrow. Also liking the idea of the portaloo, but ive seen this before at a major airsoft event, where we hired a portaloo and everyone decided to use it as it was closer than the official ones, this then ended up being a stinking mess that no one wanted near them lol the bar idea is a good one and something we can do our selves rather than having to hire one in, we could also all chip in for the booze for it. we need something else though, and also more members to attend, i think that is the key here. Next year im not going to order as much food i know that, last year we couldnt get people away from the BBQ and we had people moaning about the food, this year everyone loved the food, but no one wanted to be near the BBQ  I think next year, we will supply a breakfast type deal but the BBQ will be there for people who really want to bring there own food to cook. Im going to get some new cooking utensils as well, the ones we have from the club seem to be odd and not very suited. The BBQ is getting a damn good clean as well, i cleaned it but it still didn't want to light all the burners fully, then just set light to its self. I will be looking at getting a small fridge, something cheap and local even if its second hand, so we can store the food on site rather than me having to go out to get supplies, i was hoping for something bigger than the fridge we got this year. I have already asked fuggles for the marquee / tables / chairs booking form for next year, i want to get that sorted out as soon as possible, also looking to get the marquee on more level ground, will be heading over to wicksteed this week to take a look at our plot and figure out the best place to put it so we are more level
  7. lol, could be a good idea as long as there is a can of air freshener in there and we don't get others invade from other stands lol
  8. i said it then and ill say it again, i went bog at 2:30 in the morning with no torch, had i ran it would of sounded like i was playing the guitar lol. Bloody guide ropes not sure why some have them so long and far away from there tents, it was like training for the SAS against trip wires wired to claymores.
  9. ill ring them tomorrow and find out the rates, that is awesome.
  10. we can have 2 fire pits, one for them one for us, and races, make sure ours is just a set of red lights and some stage smoke under them coals and theirs the real deal LOL Funny someone should mention bouncy castle, i was looking into that, but biggest problem is, the collection of anything on the Sunday. it does leave a lot of things out as most companies if you are hiring over the weekend like to collect on the Monday, rather than Sunday when no one is working Just remember though, what ever we spend at JAE needs to be offset by member ship fees, so naturally somethings will be out of bounds due to cost. there are a few ideas ive been liking though and have jotted them down for later consideration. the projector will be coming again, but this time im thinking more group things on it other than having a bunch of us all monging out at the screen for 2 hours while watching a movie. Though have to say that is still the biggest group of people we have had in the marquee on both nights since i first started coming to JAE. There are companies out there that will supply a bar and barstaff, but then we are going to be paying twice, once for hiring the bar and bar staff and then for the drinks. so i think thats out of the question. If daz can make something easily collapsible that i can get down to mine to store, that will hold a few spirits and a few of the tescos barrels with the taps, im sure we can make a bar, would have to use plastic cups. Really do hope we get the numbers this year though, as i did get a bit of feed back from fuggles saying our plot was too big for the number of cars we had there, but then the year before we had a few more cars turn up.
  11. lol ive thought about that, but before i get to that stage, think ill get back up car lol
  12. Now that sounds like a plan lol, but we really need to try and make our stand the dogs dangles next year, need to do something that is going to scream that the 300zx club has arrived and something completely different to other people
  13. Eh? Not sure I can quite decode your message, something about removing turbos or something.....
  14. Are you coming Santa pod for japshow final at the end of the month?
  15. its nice, ive always had a soft spot for skylines.
  16. if you subscribe (only £20 for the first year) not only do you get the benefit of editing the post, you can also get PM and selling functions. before someone removes all the winky eye references
  17. hmm, i know we had a meeting about at JAE and topic of conversation was over moderation at some point, but i think groover has taken it a bit too litarally lol anyway, on topic you lot lol, need to get some good ideas for next year, im thinking 15foot swimming pool (only issue is how to fill it) could do a friday / saturday night drive through idea with the projector, me and jaikai had a sit down and talk about it but not sure if its possible as really need a more of a slope to of the land to make it work properly and also a better sound system. ill get hold of daz to discuss the bar option in more details.
  18. dunno, ive had the same issue but still not found what the problem actually is, for some reason when viewing it, it seems to leave it as a very thin bar lol. ill figure it out, must be a setting some where.
  19. matey you are more than welcome to come to mine before heading down on the Thursday, could always plan something for next year if you want to get prices and such, or being a joiner, knock something together thats easliy transportable, i can store it here and move it to JAE, then its a case of getting the beers and shots set up lol
  20. id of love to of hired a bar, though could aways sort something out next year if everyone going chips in for it, i used to be a barman, and if we can make something that resembles a bar, i don't mind manning it for the night lol. could do a all proceeds to the charity that is usually apart of JAE
  21. That was the FTO lot next to us, they do it every year, don't really want to steal the neighbors ideas lol Ian, i agree groover should of not listened to me and brought the heater, we need a mirror ball for the center of the marquee (if we get the same shape one as this year) and the fridge was way to small LOL
  22. right, here is your chance to see if we can improve on this years JAE, for next year. If you have a issue with something this year, please but it down here, but be constructive about it, don't just say "i didn't like blah blah" with out saying what you would do to improve it. All ideas will be considered.
  23. You are not allowed to vote for your own car lol But i understand what Ianl is saying, we shall be looking into new categories, we changed a few this year, to see how things went, which to be honest worked out quite well. we want to give everyone who attends at least some way of trying to at least stand a chance of winning something. which is why the awards were quite generic last year. Hopefully we can get more people to attend next year, we were actually down on numbers this year compared to last with a few people either pulling out at the last min, or car going tits up just before. Also need to make more use of the space available to the club when parking, although the horse shoe shape looked good, we still had masses of space left which went against us this year for stand of the show award.
