  1. happens all the time, i dont mind its free to use lol just like that blackberry crap (horrible phones, would much rather have a samsung galaxy S2 than a kackberry)
  2. removed my thread for now till i find out if the rad is at fault or not. sorry guys.
  3. sometimes its cross me mind lol, my red zed was the best one i had, mechanically sound just needed body work doing.
  4. if you have a N/A a decatted mongoose sounds awesome again click image to view video, this was my old N/A very first zed i ever had, changed the engine on it after the first one put 2 conrods through the block and sump. this was it after it was fixed when mid-wales-zx had it.
  5. sorry to hear that bud, standard front TT bumper, check the for sale section a few people breaking cars at the moment, someone is bound to have a TT OEM front bumber for sale. might even have the light unit as well
  6. Kakimoto exhaust matey, or HKS super drager but that tends to be single exit. Or get one custom made with mahoosive pipes like ive currently got on mine. ill get a video tomorrow of the sound. very beefy. my turbos on that red one were fine and it was decatted for around 7 years
  7. click image for video, ok its just on idle but sounded lovely when going. not to loud but not overly quite either.
  8. Sounds a lot better, my red 300zx has a mongoose with decats, ill dig the video out. sounded lovely
  9. i have no idea where it is, but id love it, why they never fully produced it is beyond me, though it most likely weight about 2 ton, and with a N/A engine in i can not see the performance vs fuel economy being high lol (not that the 300zx is very economical anyway)
  10. Not sure about selling body parts for that. but i sure as hell would sell my left leg for this http://www.wekop.com/1991-nissan-300zx-hardtop-convertible-prototype
  11. Not using stock gauge, using conzults, as i said its not over heating rapidly, its a gradual over heat depending on how its driven.
  12. just looks like rain all over it rather than unwashed, standard exhaust, seems unmodified, really feel to tell him that its more than likely torque slip
  13. rear bumper isn't that bad a job, you just need to remove all the plastic liner in the boot and undo all the bolts around the inside edge and the ones on the side. can be a PITA to refit if your on your own but still doable. they wont need much welding as its just a dangly bit that isn't key to the structure of the car. just make sure you treat it properly after its welded and give it a lick of hammerite to keep the weather out as all of it is hidden by the bumper anyway.
  14. Thinking of digging the old rad out of the garage and sorting out the leak, as its leaking from one of the side joins and refitting it. this is starting to be a pain in the ass.
  15. fuel pressure reg might of gone fubar, or the fuel dampener, both easy to change as they sit right on top of the engine. might be an idea to get a pressure gauge in the fuel line and see if its holding the correct pressure, think its 42psi iirc.
  16. Might try it and let you know, i also know that the valance panels do tend to suffer rust as they are in direct line from the crap the rear wheels kick up, they would not show in a MOT as its classed as acceptable in that area for some reason. (think its due to not being structural)
  17. New rad cap arrived today from KJZ32 (mucho thanks) so took the zed out for a test run, went down the Duel carriageway temp held at 84 degrees, got her back home, and she started to creep up again till the electric fan kicked in at around 105 and she came back down and settled at 92, so still bloody hot. turned her off, think i have air leaking into the system at top inlet pipe for the heater matrix as i heard a bubbling sound from that pipe, also feeling the pipe you could feel it. so going to go tighten all the water pipes again to make sure. still think the rad is playing a significant part as the top near the filler cap was stone cold again, yet the other side was nice and hot. so think i have a rad blockage. Looks like the cars going to have to come off the road until new year when i can get some dosh to sort this out. Gutted.
  18. im still getting exhaust fumes in the cabin, there are 2 air vents in the rear of the car that end up near the rear boxes on the valance panels, i have a sneaky feeling that the turbulent airflow pulls the smell into the cabin from back there. just not sure what would happen or if its safe to seal these up.
  19. A well maintained zed engine isnt going to break with a few mods. My last 300zx the red one that jim ended up breaking, was pushing 16psi on the turbos, and that thing was fast has hell and very reliable, and had been like that for a good 7 years, but it was also very well maintained by its previous owners and me. Njmworsley, if your going for more power id ditch the autobox, they are great and reliable regardless of the horror posts put up, but only if kept with a stock engine, from what i can tell the Auto usually knackers as people tend to treat it like a manual and give it the welly which i dont think it can handle when you start putting a lot of horse power through it. These engines have been given a lot of stick, but then the punishment most people give the engine and gearbox, im not surprised. a well maintained stock zed should last just as long as any car out there. start abusing it and things are going to start going wrong. You have to remember, most people come to a forum for help with issues, not to praise how well the engine and gear box has lasted, so most people only see the issue side of things. i know of a lot of zeds that haven't had gearbox or engine issues when maintained well and treated well. there are a lot of zeds still on the same engine after 20 years
  20. thanks matey, good to be back, was doing my head in with out internet, but big thanks to me mum for sorting it out for a while at least :)
  21. just had to post this sorry daffy lol
  22. Its on its way:thumbup1: yay Been driving it about today, seems fine again, its like sporadic lol and doing my bloody head in. So glad its not a fast over heat, its gradual depending on driving style.
  23. always loved j1mmys car, best two tone ive ever seen on the 300zx. and love the stance.
  24. I think the reason closest garage isnt specified is just incase you have a specialist motor, i think you would get away with driving it to zed world as it specialises in the 300zx only, im sure police would understand that not all car places know about a rare car such as the 300zx. Im sure Mr posh git with his lambo isnt going to drive it to the bodge it and scarper garage just because its closest to get it MOTed lol
