  1. i take it when i say "i need to test it more" people just ignore it  (love the way we are having a complete different conversation to whats going on around us, like being down the pub and no one gives a shit that you just said the barmaids got nice boobs)
  2. get ya ass down here then lol
  3. we are tough, but also very laid back. in fact too laid back. unless someone either threatens our beer or someone boils the kettle to put a brew on.
  4. im just going to get a uprated rad with larger cores i think when things improve, more room to allow particals through instead of it getting clogged up. plus the added benifit of it allowing more water to be shifted.
  5. not going to get too excited just yet, as i said need to do more testing first to make sure. dont want to jinks the bloody thing.
  6. happy birthday jeff :)
  7. LOL that hitler clip has been used so many times for different subjects and still makes me laugh when i see a new one.
  8. in a nut shell, everything's going to shit. i support clarkson as well on this, they should of protested about something that effected everyone equally like the cost of fuel duty, rather than being greedy barstwards and only rallying for them selves.
  9. not sure i want to risk bringing it that distance just yet, need more testing first to see if it is indeed stable. Think im going to be paranoid about it for about 3 months even when sorted. thats not rad weld, its rust build up from a 20 year old radiator, its more a clay type substance that once dry will go powdery.
  10. wow really did pick the wrong color there lol let me go edit it with a color more suitable to be read on the forum
  11. your not going to be banned lol
  12. Well think this should explain my over heating problem And...... to say the radiator was blocked is an understatement, about 3 channels halfway up and 5 at the top were available to get the water through, what gave it away was what A2zed (member of the Aus300zx site) mentioned that the bottom hose will collapse on its self if there is flow restriction, which it did when i got it to start over heating earlier (yes i know inducing over heating for the purpose of testing lol) So out came the old rad that sprang a leak, i was lucky that the leak was due to the clip system on the side that holds the oil coolers for the autobox, 2 had pride them selves off the casing, so i eased them back into position with a hammer and chisel, refitted everything. refilled the system checked for the rad leak which was now none existent, seems there is still a slight air pocket in there, but going to bleed it again tomorrow and im so glad i didn't throw the old rad out. Temp stayed at 84 degrees, crept up to 88, been as high as 89, but when giving it a bit of boost and driving it above 50, it actually cools down to 82 degrees now, and i have hot air that doesnt fluctuate :) and when pulled up she settles to 84. 88 and 89 temp achieved when idling for a prolonged period with the heater off? so i still think there is a trapped air bubble in there somewhere so will re bleed the system tomorrow. Will still need a new rad as i don't trust the one i put on (due to old leak), just did it to see if it was indeed a rad problem, got a bit worried when i stripped the old one down on one side and saw it looked clean as a whistle, until i stripped the other side out. couldn't even see through most of the cores. will be keeping an eye on it for now though to make certain. have to admit though, its the coolest my engine has smelt in a while. You wouldnt believe the size of that pile of crap in the photo, the photo makes it look small, also trapped in the channels that id removed before taking the photo were old bits of orange sealent used by nissan to seal the waterpump and water pipes to the block
  13. have to disagree on the marmite love it or hate it thing, i used to hate it but now i love it lol
  14. i have no idea but at least you can say its been done lol
  15. You can do matey, just need to know what your looking at when viewing the car. smokie engine, over heating, rust on the rear sills. they would be my first port of call when buying my next zed. everything else is fixable.
  16. just randomly throwing this out there, but just went to garage and tested something, went down the ring road to purposely cause it to over heat slightly on the way back, and parked with the nose up on the curb, now when it started to over heat the heating went cold. felt the water pipes feeding the heater and both were hot. radiator was stone cold again yet when trying to attempt to take the rad cap off, it wanted to spit hot water about so though better of it. the moment the heating started getting hot again, the temp shot down from 100 to 81 degrees, (conzults software) where the bloody hell is the temp being taken from for conzults? as it cant be the temp sender on the front water pipe surely. Another thing, i have to raise the engine revs to cause it too cool down, though only when no load is being put on the engine (not driving). surely if it was a HG this would cause it to over heat more not less?
  17. yeah, was confusing though, went from sub to reg with out color change. at least i didnt abuse me powers thats the main thing lol
  18. just realised after replying to your other thread, i have a monitor cable running from the PC in the boot to the touch screen in the front, and no adverse humps or bumps, it runs under the passenger side carpet close to the sill to start with, where it then feeds into the cavity and out near the rear seats at the fuel pump ecu. its about the same size in diameter as your cable, so should be good, the same cavity is on the drivers side, bit fiddly but doable.
  19. thats one thick cable, are you sure your going to be able to route that with out the carpet sticking up? naa you should be good, there are set channels you might be able to run it through once its through the firewall to the rear, the rear quarter panels will hide the rest till it enters the boot. look forward to seeing what you have inmind for the dial surround.
  20. also another reason i pulled my forsale thread as it changed from subbed to regi, well spotted, regi cant sell not fair if i do while others cant. Was a bit confusing as i didnt notice it at first due to my name staying red.
  21. i know :) looks like footie is hotting up again, one red card and a penalty, come on spurs we can do it.
  22. i do it for other people when they spell the thread title wrong, im just moderating mate, not abusing :)
  23. Not sure what your on about :whistling:
  24. the blue texts state you have sent the message via Imessage, its free iphone to iphone messaging
