There is a tensioner pulley for the aircon belt , my bearing went in this and it gave a metallic rattle / whirring noise , very easy to replace , drop the belt off and you can spin it by hand and feel whether the bearing,s pooped . HTH

I spoke to Darren , he got the bell housing from an Australian company that closed down soon after but he can,t remember the name :headvswal:headvswal Sorry bud , not much help , i would have thought that if there are any conversions available America would be the place to find them :confused::confused:

Hi bud , i,ll let Darren ( mantav8) know your after a bit of info , i,m not sure if his computer,s up and running at the mo as he,s now living in Spain :eek: As far as i can remember he bought a bell housing ( not sure what the american term is for this :rolleyes: ) from america which mated the Supra 5 speed manual box straight onto the Chevy engine and extended the gear selector to line up with the original gearlever hole in the transmission tunnel , i,ll give him a call tomorrow to see he can give you some more info. Also clean the yellow connector and the temp sender on the top alloy water pipe at the front of the engine ,if it,s corroded this can cause a hesitation . HTH ;)

Followed the instructions off the Ausie site bud and did it with the dash in ( auto only ) :hyper: Can,t believe how good the heater s now:bow::bow: apart from it springing a leak the old matrix must have been well blocked with sludge :eek::eek:
