UK spec standard wheels - offset please
I had this problem, tried to SORT. I took wheels off my car and measure them up. The rears are definately 8.5" et 42. The fronts i could not guarantee. they measured up to be 7.5", but i was told they are 8", front offset et35. i have ordered my wheels on this basis. not received them yet, proof will be in the pudding. dump valves question
A quick question on setting up the spring activation on Dump valves. I have a set of Apexi dump valves. they have a nut and screw on the front, to alter the boost at which they dump the boost. How do you set them up correctly? Is there a procedure? Regards Kev

WAXOYL under body wax
Did my car a couple of years ago with Waxoyl. What i did was stand the car on axle stands. Put a tescos carrier bag over each brake, and taped up closed. Brought some of that thin polythene dust sheets. Lay that under the car and taped the sides to the side skirts of the car ( to stop fine particles of the waxoyl getting every where). You can buy it in a pump up tub. The trick i found was to have a heat gun heating up the waxoyl really hot. The wife would keep pumping the pressure and holding the heat gun on the tin while i sprayed. This creates a liquid fine spray that does get everywhere. You can build up some decent layers that when cool look really tidy. If you spray it cold its like trying to spray baby poo. The only thing to bear in mind is afterwards when you drive the car, some waxoyl may have got on the turbos and will smoke, it will burn off. Regards Kev

Flickering HID's!
As i understand if you own a UK spec Z they had DIM DIPPED fitted this can cause the ballasts to charge and discharge due to low power from the DIM DIPPED unit. THis must be removed it fitting HID to uk z Regards Kev

Uk spec std wheels
Me again I have removed both a front and rear wheel. I have measured the outside width of each wheel. I know the wheel size is the inside width of the wheel, but this is all i can measure when there is a tyre attached. The rear measures 244mm wide outside which converts to approx. 9.5" wide, so i guess this is 8.5" wide with an offset of ET 35. The Front measures 221mm wide outside, which converts to approx. 8.5" wide, this is 1" narrower, this i guess would make the front 7.5" wide with an offset of ET 42 ?? Yet people report uk spec has 8.5" rear, 8" fronts. Does this sound right, any help appreciated. Regards Kev

i will have a set of Koni adjustable shocks and a set of lowering springs for sale soon. just ordered a set of Tein Monoflex. so will be removing my old suspension. brought the Koni setup about 4 years ago. my car has been off the road for 3-31/2 years, so nearly brand new. just dusty and dirty Regards Kev

Fitting tein monoflex
The boot area is already empty from having car sprayed. The car has Koni adjustable shocks and a set of lower springs. Are you saying when i unbolt them the spring wont fire off and kill me?? The reason i have brought the Tein is since fitting the body kit, the front bumper is too low. Plan on keeping Hicas as it works fine. would it still be an idea to replace inner & outer ball joints. could you hightlight their locations for me? Regards Kev

Fitting tein monoflex
Hi Guys, a quick question Any ideas how easy it is to fit tein monoflex suspension all round. i have just ordered this with EDFC. I have done a lot of mods on my own. Guessing i will need spring clamps to hold spring in compression for when you unbolt, the original bits and remove, then bolt in a pre-assemble Tein coilover and bolt up. it might come with complete instructions?? How do you know how far to bolt everything up? Was planning on fitting stillen anti roll bars & tension rods, adjustable suspension and AP Big brakes at the same time!! Or would you recommend getting this done at a garage? Any help appreciated? Regards Kev

Anyone know why this isn't plugged in?
Are you sure its not the boost solenoid connectors? All they have done is unplug the connectors, not removed the solenoid. Thats what is looks to me. If so don't worry, its up to you if you want to leave them plug in. instructions on how to move are here http://www.zmods.org/index.php?page=profec_b

Which tein suspension ??
Hi Guys Currently have Eibach lowering springs, with Koni adjustable shocks. Have since had a bodykit fitted, with a strosec front bumper, this has made the car look lower at the front, about 70mm off the ground. The trouble is the front is hitting slight bumps so plan on bitting the bullet and fitting Tein suspension, with EDFC. the question is which sort ?? They do two sorts Super Street with upper mounts and Mono Flex, the Mono flex looks more for track than street. I do not plan on using it as a track car, more of show car. I already have stillen roll bars adjustable tension rods and a BIG set of AP brakes. Which Tein setup would you recommend? Any help appreciated. Regards Kev

Brake disc's
Hi people Need your help again!! Plan on buying a new set of 19" alloys to replace the standard uk ones, plus since having body kit fitted push the wheels further in line with body work. My problem is i also have a big set of AP brakes to go on the front and rear, but cannot fit them with standard wheels. But i am unsure if the aluminium bells to the AP brakes are thicker than the standard disc. Has anyone got a standard front and rear disc they could measure the thickness as the picture shows? i can measure the thickness of the AP's but need the Zed thickness, otherwise will have to unbolt discs on car and measure. Your help would save me a load of time. All help appreciated. Regards Kev

PCV VALVES question
Is it only the valves that get blocked? Can the rubber pipes or the metal pipe that wraps around the back of the engine get blocked also? Is it worth blowing an ir line through them ?? Regards Kev

Scratching my head a bit. will these wheels clear my brakes?
can you run 20" rims on a 300, wouldn't that mess up the speedo? what profile would you run rubber bands? I noticed on conzults a speed reference with wheel size, does that mean you could alter the speedo reading through that part of conzults regards Kev

Uk spec 2+2 tt passenger door
Hi guys Fitting the passenger door card, noticed there must be some kind of threaded fitting which holds the top of the interior handle to the door. The trouble is the bodyshop must have removed the fitting when they sprayed them. Only found it was missing after fitting all the rest of the door parts. Would any one have a quality picture on the inside of a door so i can see what the fitting looks like? Regards Kev

Hi Guys I went, i just could not take my car (not on the road yet)!! Took wife and daughter. Lukes car looked good as usual, i think the other was MACs ?? As said only a few Z's showed, poor show really, plus no sign to advertise. Vince was sat in front of cars to chat to people, could not see anyone else, but there was a lot showing. Will take my Z to show as long as everyone else commits. Here are a few pics i took. Regards Kev

Supercar Sunday
Hi Ceejay Some bad news. I will not be able to make the Supercar show. Unfortunately the list of things to sort on the car is not reducing quickly enough. Still trying to get enough done so can put in for MOT. then need to sort exhaust system and alarm. Then need to get new wheels measured and ordered. Sorry for cancelling. Still plan on going, but will just be viewing. Hope to see you all there. Regards Kevin
