I got a young lad who works at a specialised VW garage to change the pads and discs on the zed today. He does all the work on my Scirocco. I was running a session at the local sports centre and on my way back to the centre i buzzed him to see if he had done the car, he had and came to meet me at the sports centre. He got out of the car with a glint in his eye, and i quote "...f**k me Paul, I have got to get me one of these..... I mean i've been in some fast cars , but that just takes the p*ss..." It was at that point that i pointed out to him that she was still in lazyboy mode, i.e. overdrive not on and not in power mode. He then said that he would do any more work on the car for free if he could get to go for a burn in it. Cue massive grin on my face... i guess she doesn't feel that rapid to me as i drive her every day and have been lucky with my past motors (or more to the point my brothers motors which he allows me to drive) But it is nice to get that sort of response. Likewise when i saw the car approaching down the road, i was reminded how lush they are, what a great design, 20 years on and still looking super cool. Just thought i'd share that, as when i got home and told the missus, she looked unimpressed and bored.

I like the seats with inserts loads, the cream does look nice. I wanted to go for darker colours so went for a darker red.

The original is just stunning, one of the worlds coolest cars IMO but i have to say that i quite like the replica as well.

Its slightly different - that one is just copied off the internet, but only slightly different - obviously no name or "england" on the proper one. I think that has been added for the american market - there seems to be a few Alcorns over there.

Clarkson is a knob! I just want to see some stuff about cool cars, fast laps and a bit of humour.... I hate the fact that it is sooooo scripted now. If you search on google you can watch all the old episodes, which i did the other day and it really is such a huge distance from what it used to be, they were giving pricing advice, buying advice etc. I quite like the big challenges they do (ie drive across country/forest etc) but i just find Clarkson such a twit that it annoys me now. Shame really, but i will still watch it as i refuse to relinquish the tv remote any more than i have to, cos if i didn't watch Top Gear i would be forced to watch Peter Andre - the next chapter or something similarly shite.

I think that if finished well, it would look cool - totally different and a one off. Don't let em turn you Baz :alucard:

Oh well..... I paid for the extra 2 tickets anyway, if i don't need them i'm sure i have a few mates who would use them.
