  7. Strange title i know; but Marcus and me well mainly me as marcus has a good excuse cos he's in a wheel chair, are doing a trans fluid drain from Auto box, after we killed it at Oulton the other week end. :slap: We have read the thread on this but were wondering if any one could through some light on the stuff we have recovered from the sump filter, see attached pic. It is sort of fibre based and has very few metal particals in it. Has any one some thoughts on this. We are planing to put some new fluid in(as it is not possible to change all due to Torque convert holding some) The plan is then to drop the fluid after a short time to see if this picks any more bits up. There are two lumps of bits come from the fluid about the size of a 2p piece when lumped together. Thanks all. Scubie and wheelman.
  8. Does anyone have this phone. wondered if it's worth getting to get my new contract started.
  9. lol. got a thread going on this already mate!!!!!
  10. thanks Mark they have offered me 600 minutes and 3500 txt for £20 due to the length of time i've had to wait for them to get the phone in but they still don't know when it will be so thuoght about just getting a phone off them to start the tariff, Orange direct not the shop just looke dand thats out of stock too :(
  11. would help if i put the link up eh here yeah i just :mac1: myself
  12. Right at the Mo i can upgrade my phone with orange, this has been going on for about 7 weeks, the phone i want is out of stock Nokia5500,so they have offered me an amazing deal to keep me with orange, but this can't start till i get the phone off them as well, and they can't say when they'll be getting them in?????. So if you have two mins could you cast your eyes over the phones that are available to me and recomend one and why or which will have a good sell on value as i hope to get a 5500 off e-bay. thanks graeme
  13. Right i've had a good look around and theres not any real info about fully emptying the fluid out, one post did say about putting a pipe down the filler pipe and pumping the fluid out after you've emptied it out of the sump. If you took out the start fuse could you turn over the engine for a few sec's so the auto box pump engauge's and pumps the fluid out from one of the oil coller pipes????
  14. Right thanks Nad, so how do i totally drain all the fluid out then?? is there a way to do this???????
  15. I'm going to try sort out Mrcus's auto box out tomorrow, just would like a few questions clarifiying first if poss. I've looked at the online manual on doing this but when you drain the oil does this empty the torque convertor as well, also is it possible to drain all the lines as he has an aftermarket oil cooler on. What is the best thing to clean the box filter with, says Mineral turps???? whats this, as i dont want to use the wrong stuff. We have a new filter and good oil,but think it would be best to flush the system with ordinary box oil before putting in the good stuff as the old oil smells burnt. just hope that theres not loads of bits in the fluid or metal on the magnet. thanks in advance   Graeme & Marcus
  16. Got to go play in the river at Shrewsbury on this day, Swift water rescue???. we only got a stream on our patch too, but should be fun if the weathers good.
  17. weren't they only left hand drive too
  18. where are the rear targa drain holes please. At the mo i have the front wings off and the targa drain pipes dont go down and out of the car they just let the water out in to the wing. is this right??? I'm about to start waxoiling the whole of the car inside the wings front and rear, inject it to the sills re-do underneath and the wheel arches.
  19. thanks guys just got my arse out of bed after a few Shandys last night :duffer: Sorry HUN but do i know you???????? ;)
  20. you mean this spoiler???? :) the one i got as said above has no electric seats heater conrtols are just a twist dial on the pod, no boost gauge but i think the standard fit interior is nicer though. oh has loads of stuff under the bonnet is moved to different places
  21. jbsb where in Shrops are you from. I'm near craven arms you anywhere near could help you look if you like???. Also try Short out the plug on the hicas reservoir to stop hicas operating as said above.
  22. Thanks for the link Chris. but this has to be a miss print???? tins can be left on their sides without the ‘liquid’ running out — which is why it must be pressurised at over 4000psi
  23. Mmmm. how does that fair in the wheel arches, I'm guessing that the waxoil will gather the dust as it will stick to it, or does it dry hard enough to swill the muck off. Sorry for all the questions about something quite simple. but really want to get it right first time thanks graeme
