  1. a red zed in a notts body shop having a some body work done? are they ment to be testing it's drift skills in the car park???? only joking. saw a lad working on it in full concentration mode....tounge out an everything ;) anyone here?
  2. I work for UPS. I was a driver, now one of the trainers. it's a good crack, but you hear some horrific rip-off stories due to extra extra small print. no doubt the same with all sorts of companies.
  3. i work for a well known company in this field. all i can say on it is, becareful using the cheap companys online. they will use the larger well known ones anyway. but because of the amount they ship they get it cheap. yea all good till insurance comes into play. it's at a minimal. i'd say use a direct link to a well known one an check how thier insurance works. also if u get any damages that you want to claim for...keep all packaging. some places send thier own ppl in to pick up an inspect. anything missing an they will go a for a void claim. tight gits will do all they can to get out of it. if it's done by a third party company, like a couple mentioned....forget it! you can end up with as little as the cost of delivery back. christ i'd get shot for telling you that :slap: lol
  4. lol so drank much vodka tonight? an it's ok about the thread hijack. i was also left in charge of the vodka tonight lol
  5. often ppl on here are in the search for new wheels. anyone care for these......snigger! http://classifieds.stangnet.com/showproduct.php?product=48721&cat=8
  6. i was just wondering if anyone here plays warhawk on the ps3 online? i'm sure i've seen someone from here, sorry but i can't remember the name. didn't know if there were any clans on such games from this forum. i've heard of other car clubs doing it. just thought it would be a laugh kicking somone else's clubs ass. always a good place to vent lol
  7. two more fans to add. my gf has just come running in the room demanding to know who this is. great sound, can't think who it reminds me of though. as for not making them to be downloaded....don't blame you. nice to hear a new sound to the shite that's playing to death on the radio.
  8. mine is blue and grey leather. pretty rare from what i've been told. oh it's a 91 jap
  9. i'm sure that's on the jackass 2 movie. if i'm right, then he followed through :hurl:
  10. omg! lol thats awsome. nice find
  11. lol @ deve8uk. That is genius. I nearly shit , laughing so hard at that. Show it to anyone who bids, and they'll run a mile. lol
  12. I got one on mine. It's great, scares the hell out of kids looking inside. Just make sure you tell your insurance ppl. Some really have a problem with it.
  13. In Castle Donington. You must be the one that ppl keep mistaking for me.
  14. Thanks ppl. I was begining to think it maybe the flywheel. But the guy i use is pretty good an would have checked it. If it is the flywheel. Is it a big job?
  15. Started up my 91 jap TT sunday morning, only to hear the starter slip again. Had it replaced a month ago. After a minute, i could hear a rattling. Sounded like an exhaust bracket. It just got louder an louder. It did sound like something catching while spinning. Either way, I promplty cacked myself an wondered what sort of dent this will make in my wallet. I checked for oil loss. None. No smoke, and the engine still seemed to run smooth enough. Could this be major, or something to do with the starter?..oh an do i start crying now. This is the first problem i've had with it, and i've owned it nearly four years. tia :(
  16. Say's there was £17000 spent on it in tuning parts. Where? As far as i can see. It really don't look like near that amount has been spent on it.
  17. saw a blue one (think it was blue) in my home town of donington no less. just getting out an you gave a smile an wave. this may answer why ppl keep saying that they see me an i ignore them lol. nice car mate! :p
  18. One that i recomend. Is one about sticking accelerators. A common problem, an a fooking scarey one at that. If i remember right. LEGRATH made the thread about it an how to solve it. Sorry i can't remember where the thread is, maybe someone here will help out. But it's very worth a look. Oh an welcome :D
  19. Avoid that garage. They have a bit of a dodgy past. Ok for parts an that. But nothing else. Most the cars are pretty tatty, an they have been known to clock the cars.
  20. Can anyone tell me if they know of a good car alarm and remote starter near me. As i've just been given one for christmas. :hyper: But after looking at the wires and everything else, i've chickened out of doing it myself. Thanks!
  21. ok sorry to throw a spanner in all this. but try an look at this from an outsiders view. scoops has his point. the insurance ppl were not there to witness it, and even though the woman said sorry, it counts for nothing unless there are independant witnesses to hear that. people in either car do not count.she can soon turn around (on advice from her insurance company) to deny all. it's a crap thing. but it does happen. in the end it's all to easy for he to say that she was already in that lane an you went into the back of her. lets hope you're witnesses statements hold up. main thing is. you all got out of something that could have been a whole lot worse. maybe just a case of the insurance companies fighting this one out. one of those poohy things that happen to alot of us. glad you're ok an hope all turns out well for you
  22. holy poo! very glad you an all are ok. i supose it is getting to the season on crappy road conditions. so i hope all here are ready. becareful everyone!
  23. Thanks again everyone. I.m going ahead an buying one, then have a pop at doing it myself. So expect several more threads screaming for help. :headvswal I should be ok. I know if it's a little much for me, not to carry on an break things. But you never learn from not trying
  24. Thanks everyone. I was racking my brains trying to work out in what way that it was no good for automatics. This is one I was looking at. So if anyone has any advice or knowledge on it, would be most helpful. Ta! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagename=ADME%3AL%3ARTQ%3AUK%3A1&viewitem=&item=160055095846&rd=1
  25. I'm thinking of treating myself this christmas to a remote starter, as it's getting cold now, plus i'm getting lazy. I looked on ebay an saw one there which looked pretty good. But there was a not that said it was not for an automatic. I've asked the seller if this was a feature that was not for an automatic or if it was the whole set up that would not work for my car. He did reply an say that he was not 100% sure but would gladly find out for me. Does anyone know if there would be a reason that a remote car starter would not work on an automatic?
