Trailer Help needed if you can
Hi Guys, my car has been up in Tamworth having the majority of its floor and both sills welded, Now the guy who took it up there isn't available any more so i am thinking of going up there and bringing it down myself, Only trouble is i dont have a trailer. So is there anyone around the Cambridge area who has one i can borrow or knows anyone who is amenable to letting someone borrow it. Thanks Rich

There's something you dont see every day...
Well i only just figured it out yesterday, after seeing a couple more on the road , we had the Duxford Air Show just down the road, and they usually have car groups there, so i reckon that was it. Whilst sitting in the garden and after a couple of Spitfires had flown over, i heard this almighty rumble coming and when i looked up saw this It was quite a sight, multiply by 10 and it gives you an idea what it was like in the war... Quite a weekend really.

Aftermarket auto shifter knob Momo ?
Hi Buddy, its from the Mk2 MR2 a rev 3 i think, here's the assembly anyway. I always liked the ergonomics of it in the MR2, it just feels better than the "T-bar" versions Rich

Advice needed Re: companies going into liquidation/Administration
Hi Guys, im after any one who has any working knowledge of the rules regarding the above, specifically, if a member of the board, or the CEO/Chairman/Chief Exec has a substantial amount of the company's shares (5% equalling 750,000 shares) When the company goes in administration is that Board Member liable in any way to the company for those shares, in any way simples.... Gaskets
Guys, thanks for your help, i've managed to get gaskets the right size for each join, Thats great. Quick question now, When joining the pipework do i just rely on the gasket making a good join, or do i use something like firegum as well. Rich

Gaskets
I need it for the bottom of the downpipes and then in the middle of a scorpion exhaust which is prob the "usual" shape. Not sure of size. Rich

Gaskets
Hi Guys, Whilst swapping around exhaust systems, i got wondering if there was an alternative to slapping on tube after tube of firegum, so does anyone have any idea where i can get exhaust gasket material to cut to shape, and one i dont have to wait 32 days for... Rich

Angle grinder
You know what Richie, I've seriously been thinking exactly that, because I don't fancy doing the welding either!!! Rich

Angle grinder
Well im now looking at air angle grinder, seems a lot easier to switch on/off, also as im working under the car , on my back with little elbow room , its light weight will help a lot.
-
Angle grinder
Well, looks like they DO have DMS its a rocker switch that will run the grinder if you push it fwd and switch off when you let go, if you want constant ON, you push it past the on posn. So looks like my grinder had a faulty switch 'cos it only had the one way to "GO" Rich

Angle grinder
After having a nasty argument with an angle grinder recently, can someone tell me if they do one with a dead mans switch rather that "full on" or Off.

Help covering me nuts!!
Do you know what the irony is of this whole situation is, While at TTP I was a Design Engineer. Responsible for bringing 3D solid modelling and all that it encompasses into TTP 10 -15 years ago, and Designed many products in 3D for Dymo, Black and Decker, Miat to name a few. If i was still there i would do this as easy as you are Ian, and thats why i appreciate this as i know what it entails. I'll get the part to you asap. rich Thanks again.

Help covering me nuts!!

Help covering me nuts!!
Hi Guys, i need some help and advice here, i've got a set of wheels which have a circular nut cover as shown in the picture. once this is put on, a 50mm odd dia nut goes down the thread to cover the middle, giving the final appearance as shown, Now my problem is i have been looking for 2 more of these nut covers for the last 2 years with no result. So i am wondering that maybe i need to think outside the box, would it therefor be possible to make a mould using one of them in order to "cast" another 2. They have no structural use so i'm thinking why not. Only trouble is when i last did anything similar it was 35 years ago at college. So can some people give me some advice/options, I know its just 2 little pieces and the cost would probably be more than the rims are worth, so im not looking to outsource it, it needs to be something I can do, i'm no idiot and spent 20 years being a Mech design Enginer so i'm sure i could cope. One of my thoughts was using one of those new 3D printer for home use, i know i used them at work 10-15 years ago when they first came out, but that was on a industrial scale When the client would authorise thousands just for a hand held steriolyth rather than Drawings. So any body got some ideas. Rich
